Hi taliadog, thanks for stopping in.

Well just got the screen finished and installed I hope I have it at a good height. Need some help here, how high do you all think I should have it? Right now its at 14" above the medium that leaves about 40" to the bottom of light, lots of room for bud.

Here's the pics.

1/2" PVC using 18guage galvanized wire, 2" holes. Don't recommend the PVC piping, its to flexible, when you tighten a set of wires the ones beside them get loose thats why theres a piece in the middle, just sitting there under pressure and the wire makes sure it doesn't go anywhere.

Just before I installed it

It fits perfect, I made small legs as you see in the pic above to clamp to the wall but not necessary, very tight fit.

What do you think, should it be higher or lower? Its 14" above medium right now, I'm switching to flowering on Saturday/Sunday sometime.

I guess I better move it back down some? After all those pics and some thought I decided to move it up another 4" - 5", now the plants aren't even touching it. I thought they should flower for a while while moving them under more. Now I see your great drawings and it looks close to how I had it. In the archive it goes.

Well things are moving along, I finally did the light switch Friday night, I should have done the 24-36hr dark period but just remembered that today, next time I guess.

My PH problem seems to have gone away, overnight too. Now I'm thinking the problem was too many bad leaves on the plant. About 4 days ago because of new better growth I was able to remove almost all the bad leaves, from then on the PH has been very stable. 3 days for sure I didn't need to touch it, glued to 5.8. Thats the only thing that changed, less bad leaves.

Because things have stabilized, lots of crap done to the water and the switch over to flowering last night I changed the water in the res. I set the nutes to 515ppm @ .5 Here's some pics with the 400w HPS bulb, very bright, my room glows now.

Day 66: Flowering for 2 days

Oh yeah forgot to mention, the smell is horrible, my filter ain't shit, not something to make unless you own a packer.

Ok well the above may have been a little harsh, late last night I was checking out my filter to see why its not working and stupid me the duct was off it. The day I switched to flowering I siliconed around the ductwork that goes through cab so I took the duct work off the filter so it wasn't in the way, of course I never thought twice about putting it back on. I'm happy to say the filter actually works very well, it was really strong and today after getting home I couldn't smell a thing even in my bedroom.

I guess its safe to say you can break out those tools again.

Question for you SCROG guys, Extracurricular your ears should be ringing. This scrog thing still has me kinda baffled, I can normally understand how things work but for some reason I can't get this together in my head, please help me understand.

I guess my main problem today is I'm not sure when to let them start growing straight up. Everyday now I've been pulling them out of a hole and putting them in a farther one as they grow, been doing that since the screen went in. Now things are quite twisted up which I'm sure isn't a problem. So do I let them grow upwards now or do I wait till I see the tops have started forming buds? I hate being confused.

Well, while I'm here I may as well post some pics, cause pics are great!

If you compare this pic and the one above quite a bit has changed overnight.

If #1 was standing straight up and wasn't cloned it would be up to the light I'm pretty sure.

Plant #1's stem, as thick as a bic already and still 70 days to go.

But if you think that's thick check out #2's, it has a big ass ball at the bottom.
