Hey Rob, You can get Lava rocks at walmart in the grilling section. Used in gas grills to distribute heat more evenly. Chunks are a little large but can be crushed down to size with a BFH.

I got red landscaping lavarock from lowes - was pretty cheap

Right on, I'll take a look around tomorrow. Today I had to untangle roots but wasn't to bad, just waiting as long as I can before planting most outdoors, the nights can still get a little cool. The 2 I put in the perlite mix are doing great.

Has it not been the weirdest spring ever? My tulips got all stunted and I killed 8 tomatoe plants because of unexpected cold spells. Was beautiful today though. about 60+ outside right now.

Yeah if you want to call it spring, haven't had much nice weather around here. But its getting nice now and think were in the clear but want to be certain. Probably on Monday or something I'll take em out somewhere. Farmers are seeding so it must be safe?

Hey guys, I'm back. Had to disappear for the weekend. When I got back last night everything was great I'm happy to report. Tons of new growth and lots of pistols now. My job is complete, I'll see in 7weeks if I did good or not.

Hey WolverineGrower, right on, I hope the bubbler is as good to you as it was to me. I just quickly checked out your plants, they look good. For hydro I use the DWC (Deep Water Culture) which is like a fish tank. Lots of water with lots of air bubbles blowing throw it. I feed them with the Lucas formula, 2 simple measurements to make when adding nutes and keep the PH at 5.8. PH is normally stable, at first I had a weird PH problem but since its been fixed (2 weeks) the PH hasn't needed adjusting. That's about all there is to it, its basically fool proof.

Hey Don, yeah definitely spring around here now, great weather this weekend. I didn't get anything planted yet but have them all in pots ready to go.

I'll be cleaning everything off thats under the top buds right now. Doing at that chopping had no bad effects at all.


Not the cleanest scrog, there's a shit load of branches. I added a ring around the bottom and I'm using metal wire to pull higher tops down to try and keep this level, seems to be working well.

It looks very nice. They did not mind the trim at all.. Things are starting to come together at the Piano house. Yes, the nice weekend was great. I have a strange feeling you are pretty near. Anyway, looking green. Keep it (them) up.

Yeah there starting to look really good now, pics do no justice. I think the trim was a good thing, tops are really getting white, I think there much better at this time then my 1st grow. I just finished cleaning up #1, 2hrs of trimming, #2's tomorrow I guess. I'll definitely post pics when I go plant outdoors but not sure how often I'll be checking on them yet, I'm sure it will be more then I should though.

Thats the hard part about Outdoors. If you are going into the woods, Just use a different path everytime to get there, so there are no beaten paths from the sky. Always counter spy. Circle around the grow before going in and Check trees for motion cameras, and wear shit to blend in, in case choppers or planes fly over. They most always wait until you go to harvest the crop to nab ya too. I had a few friends involved in an outdoor sting a few years back, they got arrested after pulling the plants. They filled me in on what to watch for. If you see any cameras or think you may have been seen from above while tending to them, never go back.

I'm not to worried about cameras or things like that but yeah I should watch above, luckily there isn't much happening up there around here. My biggest worry is taking them there, I could be a few hours anyways. My original plan was to plant and forget, I'm going to try and stick with that. I'll definitely be careful if/when I do go back though.
