Um, I think you are talking about the light yo-yo's that are holding up the fluorescent tube fixture?

They were freebies when I ordered my HPS.

Talking

ya i like the stealth of that project and the clean design.

I have to agree, insulation is VERY important. probably a little more important than ventilation (as far as attic grows), especially when sealing a room correctly not only keeps the room temp stable but also light-proofs the box at the same time.

something more elaborate and perhaps messier I have in mind ovah here LOL
(see img)

the power strip has since been replaced with a quad outlet box wired into the house and the insulation (minus the roof) is near complete. The silver duct on the right is connected into my HVAC system for the main house. plans are to have 1 thermostatically controlled heater/fan unit, and 1 thermostatically controlled exhaust fan thru an odor sock (trying out the Crystal cat litter idea, filled in a nylon stuffed inside the last 6" or so of the duct).

Ought to be interesting trying to balance all that. The white box in the top middle is a remote temp and humidity monitoring box. bottom left there is a bathroom vanity 4 socket light valence (13 bux) with Y connectors for a total maximum of 8 23w daylight (6500k) 1500 lumen bulbs for a total of 184w / 12000 lumen over roughly a 36" x 36" area.

have fun!

lookin' good bubba

Attic grows are fun if you can overcome the temps!

You have a nice space there, you should be able to grow some beautiful plants. It seems like you are doing a pro job so far.

I'm lucky that so far I've not needed odor control (although I'm constantly monitoring the situation). I exhaust out of my roof at the highest point. With four plants in flower now, I stall haven't smelled anything.

I have a state trooper living 2 houses down across the street, so stealth is number one concern.

3 weeks of 12/12

As always, thanks to everyone for stopping by and commenting.

Not much to report, my little girls are just getting bigger everyday

They are increasingly starting to lose lower fan leaves (I'm not alarmed yet, the canopy is so thick that the bottom of the plant gets very little light).

I've found that they are needing more water and I've let them get a little too thirsty a couple of times. (I am probably too concerned with overwatering). I'm also getting an occasional brown spot here or there, but I think it's just from water spotting near the lights.

I'm thinking about repotting into rectangular pots (read "trash cans"), but I don't want to fix something that's not broken...any opinions?

Anyway, talk is cheap...here are the visuals!

Have you ever thought about grow bags? They are squared and the 3 or 5 gallon bags are perfect. http://www.wormsway.com/detail.asp?sku=SBG322

Thanks for the growbag suggestion and the pic compliment.

I have thought about grow bags, They probably would help maximize space. My current pots seem ok so far, when I killed my males, they were not root bound at all...i'm in a holding pattern for now.

Thanks for spreading the good karma!

You love creepy avatars...what happened to capone?

I originally had some pics of guys I new from my old town that are in prison, or just mugshots from their jail time. only one of which I used to be friends with, otherwise just people that lived there. The first guy was a deer/horse killer/fucker arsonist, hahaha. The second was a ChoMo kid that lived up the road. The third guy was a guy who I used to be friends with, but he got into coke real bad, bad enough to blow his dads head off. the pic was his "tryin to find love from maximum security" picture. The forth guy I worked with and he beat some kid to death. Capone just has that face, you know? This guys name really is Don Piano that I have now. But yeah, I still have more "friends" stashed away! LOL

everything looks great man!

how big are the pots they're in now and how long have they been in there?

edit: as long as they're draining properly, you couldn't possibly over water them at this stage.

Thanks for you watering advice...I've been watering more lately and things seem great.

My plants are in about 1.5 gallon pots...same pots all through veg and flower...so far so good.

30 days of 12/12

Time for my weekly update.

I've got four plants in flower, and everyone seems to be doing well. Space is short, but the girls are being polite to each other. Plants are now about 20" above soil level. I should have plenty of cab height through flower.

They are really starting to smell delicious...something like candied ginger perhaps.

Buds are starting to fill in, and I've got lots of trichs on the upper bud leaves. Right now, the worst thing waiting...

Cab is working flawlessly. Temps in cab 70 - 85. Attic temps have been as high as 120. So far so good

Thanks for looking in. Your comments are appreciated (and often very helpful).

Lookin great. Love those HT pics there. Hope you don't mind but I am using that last one I admired as my desktop.
Becoming jealous I am. Seems like its been one setback after another for me.
