Question about lights

Hi, here's the situation....I see that you have two air cooled light reflectors. They seem linked by a short piece of rigid ducting. Does that mean you can't adjust the height of your lamps individually?

In my situation, I have two air cooled reflectors, with the circulation running through the long end of the reflector. That means, in my limited 4' by 2' space, I can't keep both lights near the edges of the wall, because the duct work takes up space. One end will be ducted through the wall into the utility closet which is the intake. The exhaust goes up through the ceiling into an attic. There is one 6" high output Canfan running for both lights 600W HPS bulbs, that pulls air out of the room and pushes it into the attic. Mounting the fan in the attic cuts down on noise and visibility.

What is the best way to make a flexible system so that both lights can be adjusted maximally and yet the lights are positioned to provide the best coverage.
I'm thinking of a 4 plant grow in 7 gallon pots ebb and flow design.

Thanks,

Warn

Dewave doesnt change the light position, so ..

I sugest you use cool tubes and flexable alum tubing, its very adjustable. and as a bonus you can connect the whole system to a carbon scrubber.

You can find some example photo's in my "grow rooM" link

Thanx Mord for fielding that question....

Delta, Mord is on the money on both counts.... I don't move lights, it's sog style grow and I let the plants come to the lights, as well moving lights is pain in the arse.

And in his set up you can see the use of flex tubing.

I understand what you mean about clearance of duct work. The flex duct still takes up about 5 inches to make a 90 degree turn. And since your space is a 4 x 2, I assume you're attaching the reflectors end to end. Even the smallest cool tube is 19 inches so the would not work either.

I do wonder thou why ya need 2 600 watters in 4 x 2 room, I honestly think 1 600 watter with a good reflector and mylar'd or flat white walls would work great. On all of my grows the plants next to my flat white walls grow the best. My grow area for flowering is about 4 x 5 and trying to place 2 reflectors in that space is tuff. In the very near future I will be changing out the 600's for 1 1000 watter with the largest reflector I could find, 30" x 23", lol.

I wish I had a clear cut answer for ya, even looked at dual cool tubes for ya but they are too long 48 inches.

Sorry Bro!!

I deleted my photo acct and I'll start a new post using GC.com photo bank. I have made several updates to my grow room, when they are completely done then I'll start a completely new post. So I am just going to let this one die.

RIP
