Hey Dewave,
can you tell me how you have your autopots set up...are you using coco, perlite etc., and are you using air stones in the pot? is the medium submerged in the solution, or are you using a layer of stones in the bottom?

Funny ya ask that, normally I mix a 50/50 coco/perlite mix. This time I varied it with a 80/20 coco/perlite mix in 8 pots and in 2 pots I use 90/10 perlite/coco mix. Just by looking at the plants I couldn't tell the difference.

The pots have slits in the bottom and they sit in 1 inch nute solution which wicks up. Each pot has a root control mat in the bottom that keeps the roots from clogging the smartvalve. I do have an airstone in the reservoir for aeration.

here's how works:

And here's a short video

Hey Man, very very nice setup, the stealth just blows me away and to top off a damn good yield ..

You make it look so easy ...

I know what you mean between the 400 & 600 lights, i found the same, the 600 gave me so much more denser buds .....

The colas on them plants are damn fine....

Thanx Waddo for the kind words, yeah I used to think that (2) 400 watts equals 800 watts and bigger buds, but I was wrong. (2) 400 watts is just that, (2) 400 watts, but at different angles... I guess I should say lumens but you know what I mean.

I will say having a system does make it easier

Coco is not quite as fast DWC, but considerably faster then soil.

I reuse the medium in such a way that I am ashamed to admit it... I have 2-3 plants per pot, after harvest I pull the medium out by the remaining stalks, the roots keep it intact. I replace the root matt with a clean one and set it back in the pot. I use a strong pair of scissors and cut around the stalk leaving the roots behind. Then I place a new clone in that hole.

They have been thru 4 grows like that so far, lol. I do plan to replace the medium as soon as the plants tell me to do so, . Or use a screen and separate the roots.

One reason I like coco is becuz it's cheap and light when shipped. They come in different shapes but I order bricks which expand to the size of approx two cinder blocks when hydrated. Fun to watch, lol. 3 bricks will easily fill an 18 gallon rubbermaid with little room left over to add perlite.

Careful when ordering coco, makes sure it has been rinsed with Ph nuetral water. I like Botanicare's Cocogro Bricks.

http://www.4hydroponics.com/grow_room/cocogroBrick.asp

I would like to add that autopots have their problems just like any style of growing, lines can get clogged and starve the plants or roots, if not properly controlled can grow into the smart valve and cause it to stick open and flood your room.

However, when used properly it frees me up so I don't have to go in the room every other day which plays an important role in maintaining the rooms stealthyness. (is that a word, lol)

Happy growing

exactly what im thinking about doing. make the "door" like 5ft by 2.5ft

or 4' x 2.5, i might knock a wall down and get dimetions similar to yours with access to bathroom fixitures!

(my dream, the better half doesnt think its a good idea)

Thanx all!

On doors I've found there's alot to consider....

The door opening must larger then the largest item that you plan on putting in the room.... don't ask how I know, lol.

Door swing... if the door swings out it takes up no interior room but it takes more to make it flush or inset to the wall and of course if it swings in it will take up valuable space and then ya need to determine which way for the swing go...

Sliders doors or pocket doors take up very little room but do not seal very good, which can be good or bad depending on your situation. I like those best esp for a good negative pressure room but my door connected to my warm boiler room, good for stealth, bad for temps/humidity.

Good luck

for stealthyness i already decided swinging in is best, and the door size, yeah,, haha I can totaly see myself making a super cool stealth door then going to bring something into the room (new carbon filter.. etc..) and it not fitting! lol

I still cant belive you pull this op off, do you change cloths after coming out? i know i stink like hell when im in the flower room and a plant brushes up against me

Yeah when I finished my room I went to pull out my 18 gallon reservoir to clean it... it would not fit thru the original door I built, dolt!!!! All I could do was laugh my ass off. So I enlarged it to the point it was bigger then utility shelves that hid the door, dolt number 2, I had 4 hours before the kids came home. I did a quick drywall fix using a hair dryer on the wet drywall mud and then painted it with 15 minutes to spare. Whew!!!!

The worst time is harvesting. Soap and hot water just spreads it, while cold water, soap and a stiff brush works but is hell on your skin. So I use latex free gloves and rubbing alcohol to clean my hands and arms.

Other then that I really don't touch my plants after their 2 week growth when I trim the shit outta the lower buds becuz I hate popcorn buds.

Note the gloves... also note the hash on the scissors, that's good stuff!

i find it hard that a person like you would skimp on quite possibly the cheapest investment int he grow room.... just buy like 10 bricks, for 25$ and be set for a LONG ass time....Its a dumb way you do it imo, and it def leads to smaller yields if you see it or not...but i think you just being like me nd lazy

Other thasn that i love the space..
