| Can your Exhaust ever be too much? Stanley Blower 655702 (Overkill?)
Hey guys, ive found a great deal on a Stanley Blower, Model 655702 ( Through a forum ) This Blower, has 3 settings - High - 2181 cfm; 0.85 amp Medium - 1746 cfm; 0.62 amp Low - 1282 cfm; 0.50 amp OK - My room from my calculations ( Could be wrong! lol ) only needs around 250 CFMBut this stanley blower is a great deal, money wise(40$) - My Question is, would this be over kill with it on Low Setting speed? This also has a plug-in for a small light |

With excessive ventilation you might find it hard to keep humidity up. You can maybe modify it to use even less current to work even slower.

as far as air exchange you could never have too much.. but as the previous poster stated.. if humidity and low temps are an issue then that would be the only reason that it would be overkill. But for the most part the faster you exchange the ir in your grow area the better. good luck |

Would somthing simple and cheap such as a humidifier work ? From the top of my head, the ideal Humidity in a grow room should be 30-40% ? |

i have almost the exact fan but made by Air King, which, i think, stanley makes or visa versa. but yours is the more powerful version. mines hi-310cfm/med-260cfm/LO-190cfm. you could either regulate the power, or accomidate everything else which could lead to a waste of electricity. but this would all depend on how big the room is. edit: since your room only needs 250cfm, even with the lowest setting. it should exhaust the whole room 5 times a minute. but you got a good price for it. Im thinking about buying another air king for an intake aswell. theyre fairly quite and move lots of air. and the stands that they have are easy to attach anywhere and pivots. two outlets, its ideal Last edited by Beastials; 02-23-2008 at 07:39 PM. |

The Grow part of my room is about 7'Lx5'wx6'h Then there is a 3x3 Section for the mother/clones - which im hopin my exhaust will do both of thease - So, my Main concern if i have too much CFM is Humidity, which a remedy for this could be a Humidifer - Size may vary ? |

FYI my plants grow area has about a 10% RH,.. and they love it. the more air you cycle the better ![]() you can install a dimmer switch to control the speed of your fan (thats what i did) another thing to think about, i bet that fan is noisy as HELL, my fan doesn't make very much noise aside from air movement, but its a centrifugal fan, and its designed to be low noise... if noise is an issue you might want to reconsider

Actully, After reading about 11 pages on that exact blower, no one has complained about noise, the only noise it does make it when its on the highest speed, then you can hear it. If you guys think your fan is ideal for my set-up please post it!! =) I went to Lowes and Home Depot, and that blower is not available, there is a heater/blower made by stanley, but i have no clue if it will work -- So what i did get! Flat white paint Plastic for the floors Spider/Bug insect killer.. I want to clear the basement of all insects, and then some, im going to over load my basement with 3 bombs, then paint and start getting everything set up |
