cabinet help

Hey guys I have a wood bed side night stand with two drawers on the front. I recently took the drawers out and knocked everything off of them except for the front part you see and the sides of the drawers that slide in the tracks on the side. That way the inside is open with falls fronts on the front of the cabinet. I have had a lot of problems with light leaks. So I had this idea to scratch the false drawer idea and go for a whole false front idea. I would like to remove the entire front of the night stand permanently fix the drawers to it and ad some hinges for better access to my baby's and less places to worry about light leaking out. Sorry I don't have any pics but I'm very broke right now and cant afford a camera. So to give you an idea of the night stand its about 2 1/2 ft wide 2 1/2 deep 3 ft tall. planning mini scrog. If anyone has seen any pics of how to put a false front on a dresser or night stand or you just have a good idea for me let me know. And keep on smokin on.

Maybe try sealing up the front like you want and putting an access door on the rear?
Cut a hole in the rear wall, leaving 1" on the sides and bottom intact and 5" on the top (for lighting, venting, whatever) now get a piece of thin wood and make flanges on the inside of your "frame" (1/2 around the edges) fastening it to the inside of the box, and put the original piece and the rear held in place by some window locks. kind of like the back of a picture frame. use some foam weather stripping between the flanges and the rear panel.

Thanks for the great idea maybe ill try that method next time. But for now I have to stick with what I've got because I've already installed two nice computer fans in the rear panel for ventilation and don't think it would be wise to then cut that panel out. But that sure dose line me up for my next thread about my mini grow cab. check it out.

cheap odor elimination idea?

Hey guys I finally got the front of my night stand turned into a fully removable false front now I just need a wood rasp or something of that nature to loosen things around the edges a little to make things easier to slide in and out I also need to get some hinges and some of those rubber door sealing strips. And now onto my next topic. I have two computer fans installed in the rear of the grow cab one on the bottom bringing air in and one up top pulling it out. So heres my idea. How about I hook a dryer vent hose to the fan on the back that pulls air out of the unit then hook that into the top of a one gallon bucket with a lid.I could then have a second hose exiting the top of the bucket also. Now if I put a mixture of O.N.A. (odor neutralizing agent) water and a wetting agent to make sure that it lasts longer and dosent just get evaporated . Do you think that the air being circulated from the cab into the O.N.A. bucket and out will actually work to kill all ganja odors or what.I personally think its a great cheap idea. I have not tried this yet but I believe it will work I wont even have the money to do any work on my cab for two or three weeks but if someone wants to try it out in the meantime or anyone already has drop me a line and let me know how it works.
