waterfarm question

ok, I know you guys know what the waterfarm is... this might sound like a trick question but how much water do you put into the the 4 gall. reservoir? It seems like 4 gall. is just way too much.

I started a thread before about the WATER FARM. i was asking if anyone has had experience good or bad, but outa 130 views noone had any experience! So I am guessing not many people have even seen em here. But i have just assembled the 8pack water farm from general hydro.. It has a 13 gal res to a 8 gal conroller! So how many watere farm units do you have? Just one? then yeah 8 gals is too much. do you have a res with a float valve? Mine does and automatically shuts the valve off when the controller is full. I'd like to know which you got tho?

Well, I have a waterfarm system....sort of.
I saw the system in a store, and was impressed on being able to use one air line to not only aerate the water, but also serve as a dripper. The only part I didn't care for was the bucket and the cheap netpots. So at first I bought a waterfarm kit and tried it on a 5 gal bucket with the netpot covering the whole bucket (12"?). So I bought some PVC pipes and fittings and they seem to work fine.

The answer to your question as far as nutrient level is concerned is that it should be right up to the bottom of your netpot.

tintala..

I have the "single" version... it's the first one at the top on this page..

I have 3 gallons in it right now and it already looks like a lot of water. Half of the top chamber is submerged already. Do you know how much water goes in each reservoir?

Thanks. I'll give that a shot and see how it works out.
