I just found two computers in my house and I really wanna get the fans out of them. I took them apart and they are incased in a square housing.. I was wondering if you guys could help me make these functional! Thanks in advance

you're talking about the fans for the power supply. they dont move much air. you should have atleast one other fan in that box, either on the case for an exhaust vent, or a small on on the CPU.

yea, the one at the top on the power supply is no use. but there might be 1 or 2 which are easily unscrewable.

All you need to power is a cheap 12v adapter or the actual PSU

I dont get it... When I was trying the cab thing I used a psu fan and it worked great, if thats all you can get then try it out - worked for me at least.

Yea, the fan from the power supply will work too. You just have open the PSU and take it out. It's usually a bigger fan than the ones used to cool your processor and general air flow in the case.
