well

i would say build your own or mod a dresser or cabinet from an antique store. IMO its pretty pointless to use anything that isnt at least 4 feet tall, but thats just my opinion. good luck.

I saw the title of the thread and thought that you were going to try to grow in your office at work.

I have to agree with hollow, nothing shorter then 4 feet. You can grow in smaller spaces but the yield would be small and almost not worth all the work and cost of the box. 4' seems like a lot but it goes quick. You'll need 1' for the flower pot, room for your light and you probably want a filter. Once you get everything in your left with 2' to grow if you do a really clean install. I've raised my new box to 7', you can never have enough height. The other dimensions on the boxes look fine.

Then you have to think about lights. If you go with an HPS light you need a cool tube (space), if you go with CFL's you need lots (space). You could use a big 200w CFL like I did instead of a bunch of small ones but its easier to cool a 250w HPS in a cooltube then the big CFL in the open. Maybe a bunch of small CFL's equaling 200w would run cooler I don't know.

Don't let all these comments get you down though, if you're determined you'll make it happen, its not like it can't.

no prob, im not giving up that easy, although i was hoping i could get away with a smaller setup, since my room is cluttered with a few dressers.

i also saw that that sterilite cabinet also came in a taller version

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=8206253

how about that one?

hey man if money is an issue you can easily fabricate something for way cheaper... this cost me 10 bucks at a yard sale and it fits right in

this is when i got it as i was tearing it down.

this is what it looks like when every drawer aside from my top one is in

you can guess the rest, be creative as you'd like, and dont get me wrong that cabinet would be ideal, but so is 10 dollars

I have been considering buying this cabinet, I see it's cheaper now compared to the last time I was looking around. Keep us informed as to how well it works

man it depends on what type of light you gonna use. if you use t5 flors or any flor, you can get away with alot less headroom, but if your lights produce alot of heat than you at least 4 or more ft for sure even with scrog. also consider with scrog grow you CAN use flor with alot of success regardless of what people say,
