Cool PH controller

i wanted to share this with everyone who hasnt seen it yet. it makes life so incredibly easy. its made by Amercian marine inc. below there are three pictures,

1.) you can see the low set point, with a green diode lit up in the upper right hand.

2.) you can see the high set point, with a red diode lit up in the same area

3.) my current Ph reading

basically, there are 2 plugs in the back, when the ph goes above the set point, one of the plugs is turned on until the ph is back into the correct area, if it goes below then the other plug is turned on. i just mixed up two smaller containers of PH up and down buffer solution. put a SMALL water pump in each, with a very small tube, im experimenting with two setups. one of them will have a very smal stream coming out directly onto the electrode. which will cause the reading to spike and then slowly settle as the solution dillutes into the water. until its in the proper reange, or setting up two independent drip setups to drip into the rez. until it reaches the proper PH. ill let you know how it works out.

if anyone has seen the other threads of the milwaukee ph controller, its nice, but only controlls the ph in one direction. this will do both up and down....nifty!

so ive been scratching my head again, the way i have it set up now, is with two buckets. each with a pump and a single drip emitter, I ran the hoes into the grow tub and zip tied the lines from the up and down RIGHT NEXT to the probe end. so when any little bit drops out, it will spike up or down and take a moment to dillute into the rest of the water, and thus creating a pulse until your center ph point is reached, which is 5.75 right between 5.5 and 6.0

i need to do come up with something new, instead of 5 gal buckets with pumps in them, i need something i can fit inside my cab, or on the outside secretly. here is what im looking for in a container: refilable, must have a top i can put 2 small holes in(power and solution). and water tight, impervious to acidic or alkaline substances. and this is stealth so its gotta fit inside.

ive considered mason jars (tuff tops to work with)
also tupperware, and im thinking tupperware is gonna be the best way to go, but what store would have the biggest selection, i tried the usuals. walmart and target. any other ideas for what to use?

About a week ago I was thinking about this, I remember seeing it but couldn't remember whos box it was in. I'm guessing you still use it and it works great? Which method did you end up doing, on the electrode or drip?

yeah the controller is running strong, no problems yet. i wanted to show you guys how i set it up, the straight tube to the electrode idea wasnt a good one, it used up way too much chemicals and thats no good for the ladies. so i set up each pump in its own little plastic containers (which are perfect BTW) and each pump has a small flag dripper. i attached pics for you guys to check it, picture is worth a thousand words.

BTW i have a better explanation as to how the controller works

it works by using two set points, one as a high and one as a low. and a range which is anywhere from +/- 0.1 to +/- 1.0

for example lets say you high point was 6.5 and your range is 1, then your low setting will be automatically changed to 5.5

another example if you set your high point to 5.9 and your range to .4, then your low setting will be 5.5

get it??? if not feel free to ask questions

one more thing, the cool feature about this, is that when your ph goes out of range, it wont just bring it back to your minimum ph or maximum ph setting, it brings it back to the center between the two HOW COOL IS THAT?
