I pretty much wanted to know if this would be enough lighting for 12 plants, i also have a 400 watt hps ballast but it gets soo hot im trying to not use it if possible.

Check out your Lumens more then anything....Typically your going to want anywhere from 75-100w per plant at about 7000-10000 lumens respectively....FOR IDEAL output. Now this isn't feasible for most people so you can cut those numbers down significantly. I'd say for your space you wouldn't want to grow more then 6-8 plants in there.

you sure they are 100watt cfls and not 23 watts? I thought they went from 85watts to 105 then 125, 150, 200, 250
