I like it. The rubbermaid thing has been done before, but yours looks really good, it looks just like 2 storage bins stalked on top of eachother, the other one I saw looked way obvious.

Thumbs up

The false bottom/top of those two containers is a really good idea. I built a rubbermaid growbox, but like most folks have said..."Way Obvious" that it is something more than storage...but it works GREAT!

i first traced a pattern onto the lid on the bottom box that was slightly smaller than the diameter of the bottom of the top box and cut it out with a razor. then cut out the bottom of the top box to match the size cut into the lid of the bottom box. then i drilled two holes with a hole saw and used a razor blade and hot glue to both cut a hole for the fan and secure it. as for the brackets, i went to a hardware store and bought a bunch of pieces and then designed what you see. the fan adapter is a 12v adapter that can be found at any department store or radio shack.

as for updates, the previous grow had to be eliminated for security reasons. however, it's been a while and now i've got a clone and 5 seeds, so we'll see what's gonna happen.

So I am considering using your rubbermaid setup for my grow. I was planning on 4 plants tho. Do you think that would be too big for the rubbermaid? What yield did you get out of your setup?

When u say the output is 150 watts, is that the actual amount the CFLs are using? cause i know on the boxes they say 60 watt light output but it only actually uses 14 watts.
