JUST FINISHED!!! mini grow room

Hi ya'll well here it is I have been planning for a few months now and have decided to go with a smaller grow area and experiment. here are some pics from start to finsh and the started product! ( justed used cell phone camera)

ok so here is the box it is 6' long 6' tall ( 4'actual grow hieght inside and stand on 2' legs) it is 3.5' deep. you can see i used 2x3's to make the posts and just did the walls with plywood 1/2in thick.

there are holes drilled out in the back for venting purposes and on the back wall is reflective insulations. (hoels are about 2.25inches)

here is a shot of the ceilign and back, again used the reflective insulation, holes are drilled on the top to feed CFL's down through which distance from plant can be changed as they are using 8' cords.

A 48'' floru. is mounted in the back styrofoam is installed on the floor and a layer of flat white is painted over it and cracks are filled in.

[

CFL's are hung and also mounted on the walls. pots are placed in to see if lights need adjustment ( and they do) on the right sid eof the box a fan is now mounted for air circulation and also a dehumidifier. those are 100watt equivalents hanging from the ceiling and 60 watt equivalents mounted on the side.

<

COLOR]

here I was fitting the pots, I believe they are 4 gallon pots, there will be 5 in there with pletny of space ( in photo there are 7) plants will also be LST'd

<
a piece of ply wood has been laid over top of the larger pots ( which are for transplanting) and the small pots are placed on it which contains jiffy pots. strains being grown are kush, WW and bud ice.
They are beign grown in organic miracel grow ( I know there are mixed feeligns about this product but this is what I used) my Ph has been at abotu 7.2 ( i will be lowering to abtou 6.9 or 6.8) they get distilled water right now and no ferts. these guys where just planted about 7 days ago and both ww, bud ice have sprouted kush is now started to peek out.

I'll keeep you all updated.

One Love Cali, remember keep Cali in your prayers while we are dealing with some of the worse wild fires now.

You are from Cali and say ya'll?
You must be from Bakersfield or someplace LOL.
Best wishes on the fires. My brother in laws Beach home was about 7 miles from the Malibu fire.

Are those active or passive air holes in your box meaning is there an actual exhaust fan sucking out of any of them? If not, you will probably OK with CFL's however, if you ever plan to upgrade to HID's, passive air hole might not be enough.

Otherwise, nice setup.

With CFL the light should be no further than 4 inches from the plant. Use fans blowing up past the plant through the lights to help with heat.

thanks guys, I was planning on LSTing, but if I want to clone off of any of these should I still LST, some one told me no, opinions??

(Bakersfield lol no quit )

ok so I moved the lights way closer!!! they are aout 3-4inches away from the plants now I am always checking and making sure they are not burning them due to the rapid daily growth. ( these little guys are about a week old from sprout, you can see the growth in pics below)

I have 3 strains going in here as well. The one in the pic to the top left corner is WW the one next to it and below it are Bud ice and the littl e guywhom I just planted is some sort of Kush, foudn in a sack .

Right now I have them on a 24/0 lighting I was going to wait til they all sprouted til I switched them to an 18/6 ( appx age when switch is about 1.5-2weeks) is this ok?? I was planning on transplanting them in about 1 more week, should I wait to switch the light cycle til after I transplant??

The vent holes right now are passive, since I am only using cfls and my hsp and mh 400 watt are being stored til the big move!!. I have a temp. controled fan in the right corner of box, a dehumidifier (small one) in the left corner which also has a fan as well. I have my florus. mounted on the back ( as you can see in the pics) how far should I keep the plants from it?

I wanted to get a good yield as well I am not in any sort of rush but I am also not trying to take 6 months to harvest either. would veggie for 2.5 months be good?

my alkiline is a bit above 40 is that too high? my ph is a steady 7 I would say. does that need to be lowered as well?

any opinions and adivice is appreciated

ps. if any one has grown those strains what sort of yield did you get and how long did you veggie /flower for.

Yes 24/0-18/6 at 1.5 weeks is fine.

pH best between 6.2-6.8.

I have heard not to top plants that are moms but, I have done it just fine.

If you only have 3 feet of room between pot and the ceiling, you're probably not going to have to veg for 2 months. They will continue to grow even while in the flowering stage, but the amount depends on the sativa/indica %'s in each plant. Someone with more indoor experience could probly tell you exactly how tall to let your girls get until you switch to 12/12, but I doubt they'd know how long.

Nice little grow room overall, definately will keep watching!

looks good only problem I see is your soil, it is way too barky and probably isn't anything good for mj. You need some peat based or coir medium for mj to really prosper.

Oh gosh you all had to ask. its MG organic. now also I have a very yellowish spots on my little plants, is it from my soil? I know there are mixed opinions with the MG and I would have to say I am not that experienced so I think I am going to make life easier and just go buy sum fox farm or sumthing like it for when I transplant.. also when should I transplant these little guys? also when should I start topping?

http://forum.grasscity.com/sick-plan...low-spots.html this is the link with pic of plant with yellow spots, kinda hard to see, it was taken with camera phone?!

Yes Fox Farms soil would be much better than MG. Transplant to that if you can but, I would not go for larger pots just yet. Those plants are already swimming in those pots as it is. Later you can go bigger.

ok thats wot I will do then. also they have tredmedously increased in size (VTEC, you'll notice increase in link I sent you), do you still think I should keep them in those pots? also I have 3 feet of growing space ( measuremnets based on a 4 gallon pot in there) now could I use a smaller pot then 4 gallons and be ok?

very nice grow setup, i like the way you put those CFL's on the side too. But you should def make the height a lot taller. Other than that those plants will be happy in their new home
