smoking and usage

Setting up a 5' x 3' x 2' grow box with 400w lamp and thinking about using one of these for ventilation on the top:

Thoughts? Any reason not to?

Saw one of those in Walmart the other day and was thinking the same thing for my new cab. I hope you buy it cuz I want to know how loud it is. If you do let us know please.

I bought this same fan no more then 4 hours ago at Wal-Mart for smoking in my room. It isnt that loud and it pushes a lot of air so it may be suitable for your grow room.

i used that fan, it isn't extremely loud but it's definetely much louder than say a computer fan. i loved it and it worked great with my 400w hps, i pointed it at the light and ballast so it cooled most there, it was in a closet so the air did go every where though.

One great feature of that fan is that you can have both pushing, both pulling or one pushing and one pulling, what i did was jimmy rig a laundry vent to the one that was pulling air, that way i had exhaust too.

Sounds like a great way to kill two birds with one stone. Their pretty cheap too, I cant remember but I dont think it costs more than 30.

Current Grow- 10 plants SOG in my growcab w/ 600w HPS in soil.
