As this first grow is about a month away from finishing, I am starting to seriously think about how I am going to remodel this 2'X6'X8' closet to be a dedicated grow room with both veg and flowering chambers. The SOG method appeals to me so I will try and build this to accomodate that type of grow.

The first thing I need to do is to take power directly into the closet instead of the extension cord I am currently using. I am in a 2 story townhouse and the breaker box is on the first floor not far from being directly under this closet on the second floor. The best thing would be to tie directly into that box but would probably require cutting a couple of holes in the wall to get the wire through and having to go through the floor. The breaker box would be best but going to the attic would be easier.

I went up into my attic to see just where I might could tie into an existing 110V source. There is a wire that appears to have been attached to something in this ceiling before I moved in and taken down. It is a 110 V wire just laying there with the bare ends all taped up and secure. I followed the other end back and lost it under the insulation and under some flooring in the attic but looks as if it is going directly to the breaker box. To top it off, there is enough wire there to slip down into the wall in the closet and will only need to drill 1 hole and cut 1 hole for the outlet box. It appears that the hard part of it has already been done for me. This wire was just sitting there like a gift for me all stretched out to right over the closet where it will need to go.

I must be living right or something.

Sounds like you got lucky. Test the lines if they are getting juice then do the damn thing. good luck to you bro.

I just got a price on mylar, 50"X50'X2 mils is 40 bux. More than enough to do all of the walls solid.

The plan is to have 1 upper chamber and 1 lower chamber, each one light proof and independent from each other. The one I saw before used the upper half for flowering. What do you think would be best, flowers on the top or bottom?

Moms and new cuttings will be in the other half.
