Interesting concept , i run a full liquid cooled PC and i can overclock like a motherfucker so the liquid cooling is very effective. 1, 55 gal drum to cool 2 1000W seems good, id gladly trade that for my 400w HPS+AC unit, considering without the HPS im @ 90F. if it really cools 2000W of lights all id need is some ventilation like the normal grow community. 400$ each makes it only a little more than a real 1000W HPS( keep in mind the 60-100$ more a mo i'm paying to use AC for 12/12) , some1 from the GC with grows under there belt should give it a go. good alternative to LED's?. this shit is getting VERY high tech.

400 bucks for the bulb and 2 plexi sleeves. You still have to buy the chiller. Have you priced a chiller? This is from their web site "55 gallon reservoir chilled to 65 degrees F with a ¼ HP chiller". I also need a drum of water?

I can see how it would be neet to have. But not real practical.

hey there rumple!

well it would depend on what you see as practical. meaning, if these really do the job then it's worth literally redesigning your grow-op to accommodate this type of thing.

an example (and my personal issue hehe) is noise! this would be very* practical for someone who is insecure w/ the noise of exhaust fans etc

a second practical case would be in scenarios with no exhaust fans at all. with a completely contained grow space you'd use the Air conditioner much less frequently, saving you some money in the long run.

i'd say it's damn practical with all these examples plus i didn't even mention that you can put the light (much?) closer to the plants.

practical isn't always associated w/ price and anyway it would save you money on power spent w/ AC units and/or exhaust fans in the long run...so....

back to my initial question...

anybody used these before? lol

post your thoughts!

this would soot me just fine as i have alot of room but heat is my biggest enemy. when u compare what could happen if i went from 1 400W to 2 1000W - AC costs it would be astronomical( didnt realize i needed a chiller that would cost more and that is a big part of the decision) could i have 5, 55 gal drums of water in series without a chiller? yet to be seen ((I'd OWN the WHOLE southern part of this hell I call home with my DANK))((( i know this breaks rule #1 : only grow enough for yourself FTW))but im just sayin, even if it was for personal use i know i could get alot more, and maybe its not practical for u northeners who have to heat ur shit just so it survies but down here i would give it a shot and if i get the cash I Will base my next growOp around it. its like 98 F year round here. considering the LED fiasco its between this and that. im waisting to much $ on cooling for maybe 4-5 WW every 3 mo. so WOW like maybe 2 oz. with 2000W i could get like 20-25 WW for I cant even imagine. if I am wrong please correct
i cant be paying for AC year round, just wish there was a legit dealer and close who didnt call anything other tha Shwag " cryppy". I tried on many times to explain the strains and WTF they mean, goes in 1 ear out the other. now i can get a gm of coke for 15$ only problem is i dont do that shit.
