my GF swears she still smells weed, all i smell is ONA.. yes its overpowreingly strong imo..

but i'd rather have stupid strong "clean lienen" smell coming out of my vents than the skanky smell of flowering

Here we go again!

Havent had the greatest succes in response to my earlier questions here, and i'm just dying to get growing, so maybe no one looked at the last link I posted, but I do believe that the brand "vaportek" produces similar products as earlier shown ONA products, at least they call it "odor neutralizer", the only thing is that it doesnt seem to be sold in liquid form, would that be a problem or could I just put these membrans or bricks in the bucket, add water and soil moist and put a vent on it, any thoughts on this is appreciated?

Hey Nenu, you seem to be searching as hard as me for some ONA, well take a further look at this german site, same products as earlier link, just better described, I think I'm going for either one of the membrans or the smell-ex, but dont know if it is of any use for you with a german distributor, but otherwise maybe try to search for the samen products elsewhere.

Heres the link:

I found some stuff call DampRid at Home Depot. It works as a mositure absorbant and deorderizor. Sucks all the smell out of the air but leaves enough humidity for the plants.

damprid wont touch flowering smell.

I use it to keep the humidity as low as possible in my room while flowering (more trichs that way!)

You could try to contact these dudes: http://www.onaonline.co.uk/

maybe they can tell you where to get it (since they make it).

A combination of things works best. In the closet w/ plants there is a little ona with holes poked in the lid. this removes I would say 80% of the smell during veg, maybe 40% during flower. But it should last for months this way (not completelly uncovered ONA block)

Then outside the closet I keep a bucket w/ some activated charcoal from a fish store, a fan, and a makeshift air filter. Holes in the bottom of the bucket allow the air to flow through the filter/charcoal and into the fan and up. this pulls maybe 20% of the remaining smell... and I only use it when I can smell something. I also have a dedicated charcoal carbon filter I made based on a DIY I saw here on the forums. Its on a duct fan, with a timer. It runs about 30 minutes every few hours and keeps about 80% of the remaining smell away...

So I have 3 methods of control up front in THAT room. In joining rooms I have plug-ins to complete the de-smell process. They just cover up any leftover weird smell. Also, I have this nifty trash-can de-odorizer crap I pour into my charcoal bucket once in a while with some water. It makes an overpowering pine fresh smell for about 2 weeks or whenever I run the fan. This is for during the last 2-3 weeks of flowering and during the drying process when smells are... unbearably fresh.

Also I keep a window cracked partway for the slow gradual escape of odors in the room. Yes you lose cold ac this way but thats why there is an A/C unit in my closet now... so any escaping smells go into a room that DOESNT get any A/C (blocked off the main vents) so my closet w/ plants get nice cold air, the room the odors leak into doesnt get any A/C and thus can be vented 24/7 without losing cold air, and it barelly smells like anything by the time it gets to the window. this keeps the room "fresh" Of course I also run CO2 so venting my cold closet is NEVER required. I go in there once every 2 or 4 days to water/clean whatever and move the light around usually towards night when the co2 isnt used so I dont lose any. MY HPS is air cooled from outside the closet... so the hot HPS air leaves the closet all together without touching the closet's CO2 or A/C.

of course this is all in theory I havnt actually tried any of this

Yo, I was thinking about going the O-Zone generator path, until I had loads and loads of people try to talk me out of it. O-Zone is really bad for chronic if you keep it too close to your plants. I have a pretty small room that i'm growing in (like 10'X10'), and I've been warned several times to stay away from O-Zone in that small of a space. I would assume that in a bigger growspace that O-Zone wouldn't be so bad.
BUT this looks like a pretty decent odor-kill idea. Definitely gonna give it a shot.

Ona usage

Your ona will only last as long as it does due to a few factors such as heat, humidity and how you expel it! i note that you should turn over your fan next to the bucket so that it blows down on top of it. this will give you much better delivery. stir it every 4 - 5 days or when a crust forms over the gel as this slows evaporation use the ona liquid to!

When cropping take the lid off and blow as much air into the pail as possible! you will understand why!

Don't add tap water to ona either as the chlorine will break the formula and then be less effective! use the liquid! it is worth its weight in gold!

have fun!
