http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-jour...-up-yet-4.html

thats my current grow jurnal.. I just started a week or so ago though so its pretty dull atm. I'll definatly put a fogger in 2 plants to compare it to my other plants ( everything will be the same except the 2 with foggers, maybe 3, easy to compare results that way)

I also ordered these
Description: Fogger buoy holds fogger at its optimum working position in water.

was looking at the bouys earlier - a great addition as the solution level varies with consumption.
The foggers will use up to 500ml per hr tho if u have leaks. Make sure it can't leave the res.
Suggest u put ur foggers on a timer to run 15mins per hr or so when the lights are on.
I fogged out my entire room cos i had fans off & it crept out the inlets!!
couldnt find my bed

nice growspace u have there m8.
I don't have that luxury as a family man so I have to maximise the space I have for maximum crop - 2 drobes does me 1/2lb each every 10wk ish.
New veg rm on the way so that can be cut to 6wk

dry ice btw - isn't that chunks of slow release co2????

I really hope to maximize my output for my space also.. here's the light fixture/vent finished, i took TONS of pictures of my build and designs, but I dont want to bore you guys.

the thing is pretty heavy, i'd say 30+lbs so i'm going to have to find some studs to hang it off of. or something,, still thinking about that, gonna hang some mylar tomrrow i think.

found a local Hydro store.. walked around for a hour or so drooling over all the toys, hehe, good to know i can get more stuff localy!

i'm lucky enough to be close to http://www.tradehydro.com (online andy's new site)
& also have a local growshop just a few miles away.
Far better than having to wait on the postie :/

2nd picture looks like a female robot. i take it ur cloning for sex?

get some eyebolts with good washers & nuts instead of the woodscrew type.
use 1mm welded chain - dead cheap & more reliable than hangers

u might have problems with noise if u mount it roo rigidly.

I've got those 5 plants (see the grow link in my sig), gonna take 6 or 7 clones and veg these plants with out scrog for a few weeks, then flower, to test out my bubbler methods, nutes 'n all that & figure out which sex the plants are (and which sex my clones are !) I'll just lable it all real good .

then i'll find a mother, and drop the clones inthe bubler, set up my scrog and do a real grow.

thats my plan anyway.

I cant wait to see what kinda results you get from them mist makers. They make little floats from them if building a stand does not work.

I would try them but I have enough stuff plugged into my dwc right now.

Bubble Buckets will work great under all that light. Watch out, they grow real fast.

Here is day 1 on new years day (I think I sent you this picture):

This is just 25 days later (took this on Thursday 1/25/07):

They are in their third week (15 days) of 12/12.

Goes real fast. With a clone room you can do 70-day harvest easy.

Very nice stuff you have.

R.

speed queen says its 55 days from germ. to harvest... I guess you could do that if you were rushed, or trying to set a record.

I'm going to vege for a few more days (depending on screen fullness when i scrog) taking the weekend off, letting the 5 starters grow a bit more, i'll finish off the grow room next week.

Thanks for the advice Rumple. I'll keep an eye on em when i do swith to the bublers, i hear it's super fast can't wait for the funn !

very good addition to a dwc
just ensure u have no fog leaks or u will fog out ur room & return to find no water in ur res!
U need to use a timer with these cos u cant have them on all the time

2nd pic is my last bubbler gro (before this 1)
that's 19days from seed! Been in dwc 10 days!

wow, looking at the size of your guys plants in those buckets, i guess i need to stick these plants in my buckets asap (which means i need to build my buckets, hang my lights and finish my room haha!) i dont think i want to transplant them too much so i'll wait till my buckets are done b4 i do anything, should be monday or tuesday. i'll get a timer on the foggers num and i think my buckets should be tight enough not to leak fog, but i guess we'll see

Ummm.. read the package again. It says 55 days flowering. I looked it up because I have never heard a claim like that. They have a few strains that claim a 45 day flowering cycle. The veg cycle can last as long as you want it to (even years *mother plant*). Most folks veg to get the correct height for their grow set-up.

Quote:
One of our fastest flowering strains, Mandala Speed Queen is a stocky and tough Indica with a thick main stem (green or with distinct scarlet colouring) and fleshy leaves, while the buds are compact and very resinous. A stimulating and balanced Indica buzz that won’t put you to sleep, Speed Queen is pleasantly relaxing yet leaves you with plenty of energy for social activities and is a great daytime grass.

This Indica will fit well into grow spaces where shorter plants are required. Outdoor cultivation is possible up to the 45° latitude or in a greenhouse. Mandala strains utilize nutrients very efficiently and grow well with low levels of feeding on quality soil. Due to her vigour and quick flowering time this strain is perfect for novice gardeners and SOG cultivation that aims for a maximum number of crops per year.

Type:
mostly Indica (contains landrace genetics from Himachal Pradesh, N. India)
Flowering:
55 days
Outdoor Flowering Time:
September
Yield:
up to 400-450 gr/m2
Contents:
10 seeds
So add what ever your veg is to the flower cycle and you will get your turn around time. My grow room is small so I only veg for ten days. I harvest twice, one at 45 days and one at 60. It makes two different types of highs, one happy fun loving and one locked up with potato-chips hanging out your mouth.

More picture of your set-up being built please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ll get my lazy ass down there on Monday and make some progress, spending the weekend with my better half & getting stuff done around the house, trying not to obsess over this project TOO much, hehe!

I'll kill you with photos tomorrow: D (Maybe even some gratuitous ferret shots)

thanks for the feedback. with out it i only know what i'm thinking, and that's never the best way to do something.

I love to watch folks build stuff, so I can arm chair quarterback and say stuff like "if I was to do that I would use bigger nails" .

Take your time.... But hurry up with the new pictures!

OK, so i got a few things done today. still not in too much of a rush, 4 of my plants are tiny and need to catch up! heh

I went and gave lowes some more money, came back with this stuff (among other things)

did a bunch of measuring, drilling etc.. finding studs, changing my idea cuz the godamn studs weren't where i needed them.. anyway it worked out in the end..

decided to build a multipurpose stand

and also learned that i'm like, the shittiest carpenter in the world

but it works for what i need it for:
air pump on the highest shelf, two ballasts on the lower shelf, and the top shelf will be my nute mixing resivore, i'll mix and then gravity dump it to refil when i change out.. best idea i have for this small of a space...
I also may rig it into one of those auto refiller thingys (technical term..)
see this link for more info: http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1255.htm

so after that, i got attacked by these muntant rats!

ok, its really just my ferrets (turbo and charger, heh)

uhh, lets see, i hung some mylar (which blows, i hate hanging plastic like this on my own) didnt come out like i watned it to. but oh well.
I chose to hang it above the level of the buckets, NOT all the way to the floor because there's not any plants there, maybe a bad idea, oh well :P i have more if i hear its needed)

worked on my exhaust next a little (not much, the stupid staples dont want to stick in the dry wall, works ok for the plastic, not so much for securing vent tubes to the wall)

and here's where i stopped with that

I'm still trying to think of a good spot for my inline fan (its one of those cheapo in the duct fans, 6" 130 CFM though, so it should be alright for this space/application)

I'll do a few more things tomrrow, that was it for today

feel free to make your suggestions b4 i mess too manythings up
