Dangerous Light?

Ok, so I wanted to post a picture of the bulb and reflector that will be used. Because this reflector does not have a glass shield and has no air ventilation spots, would this be a bad light to use in a closet thats 2 1/2 feet deep, 4 feet wide and 6 feet tall?
Meaning im not worried about the plants, im worried about the bulb overheating and exploding if I dont create a proper ventilation system built into the reflector, is this likely? Should a fan definitly be dedicated to removing the heat, or will it be ok without a direct ventilation setup? I realise you guys cant say for sure, but is it risky?

Looks fine to me. I doubt it would get so hot it would explode. Don't they have like safety regulations and stuff. Those industrial MH lights don't have glass over them and have a cone shape around them. I would have to say it's fine and nothing will happen. You should blow air on them to keep the heat down so you can keep the light closer

you wont know how the temps will be till you try it. id think without the glass it would allow for more heat to escape the area.

I work in the lighting industry! For us to get a product approved for the North American market, they have to pass a lot of safety checks. Most lighting products come with a Thermal Cut Off Switch. When temps reach a unsafe limit, the lights turn off.

This is for residential lighting...Im sure the safety standards are higher for a more powerful light.

So after all that being said, Im positive that your good to go! hehehe
