now im thinking of building a box for inside the closet since i dont want to have to do anything permant to the walls, celling, etc.

please look at the attched picture and tell me what kind of materials you would use.....

im thinkning just using wood... then painting it white and cut some holes for wires...fanes.. etc

alright i went to home depot and got the lumber... now i just need to build the actuall box tomorrow.

one more question... should i make a door in one of the sides.. or just make the side that faces into the closet one big door?

im thinking about going with the second idea...

I would recommend the largest door that you could make would be best. The more room you have to move things around the better.

Definitly not enough room for 20 mature plants. I you are starting that many for sexing purposes fine but 32X22 would allow for like 4 mature plants. You could extend it a foot and maybe get 6.

Fans at the top blowing out would work fine with passive intake holes at the bottom of the box. Your closet door will have to be open to allow fresh air to come in.

I would recommend wood for the box. 6 plants would need to be under at least 250watts. What are you going to use for light?

That will work but you will need air aircooled reflector to remove that heat.

yea. the heat is my nightmare. i was thinking about installing like 4 fans on the top of the box just for removing air and 2 on the bottom for pushing air in. do you think this would be enough?

just use all fans to remove heat and exhaust. A canopy fan is nice too. the open holes in the bottom of the box will naturally draw in fresh air no fan needed. What kind of fans?

im not sure yet, i know ill need something that moves air well but i dont want to drop alot of money into just fans...

i was thinking about trying to find 2 fans like that and cut 2 circular holes in the top?

where could i get decent inline fans without getting ass raped by high prices?

That fan alone might be enough for ventilation...thats a big fan.

You gotta figure out the cubic volume (HxLxW) of your growroom and then check the CFM(cubic feet per minute) rating of the fan. You want a fan that can exchange your total volume in a certain amount of time.

Since im not really expert at this, im not sure how fast it has to be exchanged. Something like 5-10 minutes i believe.

Also, a fan like that is loud, might have to soundproof it.

Go to any hardware store and get a bathroom ventilation fan.. They should have all the fittings and tubes for it also.. They come in all shapes and sizes and arent too expensive. I got a small one for $15 and I think 5 for the tubing, it works nice for me but they make huge ones also..
