| Grow Room Setup, Advice Appreciated
I have set up a walk in closet adjacent to a bedroom as a grow room. Dont have pics yet, but may get some soon and do a journal. Anyways, Here are the specs.
The closet is about 5' x 3.5' and 9' height.
15 plants in soil, takes up just about the whole floor area.
1 x 1000w Hps light with reflector, not cooled, on a timer system
Mylar coated walls
Oscillating Fans for air circulation
Ionic breeze for purification and odor prevention
Air intake system through adjacent bedroom using a Dayton blower connected to the wall, 4 inch diameter, on a timer
Air outtake system through roof of closet which goes to personal attic using a dayton blower sucking air out of the closet, 4 inch diameter
Thermometer/hygrometer
Ph testing equipment/Soil moisture, etc
15 approx 1.5-2.0 gallon pots on trays
Does this sound adequate? I have a few main questions.
Do I need to do anything to the carpet flooring to prepare it for the grow? Ex: mylar, disinfectants?
Should I raise the pots off the ground with a stand? If so, what would be the best item for the job.Right now they are approx 2 gallon pots sitting on trays directly on the carpet.
Is it necessary to seal the door with some sort of ducttape to prevent light from escaping?
Is it necessary to open the bedroom window at times for fresh air and C02, although there is proper ventilation and air conditioning in the bedroom, with fresh air coming in through a vent in the bedroom and being sucked in to the closet the majority of lighting hours by the dayton blower?
What is the precise optimum temperature and humidity for the grow room? I have heard and read estimates but am looking for somethign to set the ventilation on
Advice appreciated. Thanks
