So I could be in trouble then, I have one finishing possibly in a few days. Do you use plain water or something special for flushing?

you def gotta flush, it wont hurt to let those resin glands amber up for a the extra time while you flush out all the nasty salts that have built up in your plants. which will make for a much more mature plant.


edit--

if you have deep pockets you can buy an actual flush solution to use at the end, and it will add a flavor to your bud, a total waste if you ask me. but for those people who want that "purp" or whatever the fuck is the cool thing these days... like i always say, "as long as it gets me high"

Just water and you best put off the harvest another 10 days. It won't burn or taste right.

Yeah that was a dumb question, I found the answer in minutes. I've seen talk on stuff for flushing so I quickly thought I need something. The worse part is I just put fresh nutes in 2 days ago thinking it would give me bigger buds in the last couple days. Waiting 10 more days kinda sucks, I was looking forward to chopping her, least I'll get fatter buds I guess, lots should happen in 10 days.

You could also try using something like Final Phase by Adv. Nutrients or Clearex both of which are flush solutions specifically made to assist in removal of nutrient build up and improve overall taste and appearence. I Have some Final Phase but have yet to use it (at least 2 weeks till I do). The bottle says use for the final 7-10 days of harvest @ 2.5ml per Liter of ph balanced water. Oh yeah a Quart @ my local store is $19.99. Thought this might help speed things up for you not positive though.

I re-did my vents and blower set-up six times. I always underestimate how hot it gets in the summer here. I can't draw air from inside my home. If I don't cool my 400w bulb the room will get over a 120 degrees on a cool day.

My advice is "over-kill the hell out of your ventilation system". You can always add a dimmer switch

I'll keep those in mind for the next grow, I think I'm stuck with plain water for this one. I don't have any local shops to get the stuff and can't take a short trip any time soon. Hopefully its not as close to harvest as I think it is.

all you need is a microscope, make sure you get one with a light and and a focus adjuster, because i remember when i used to try and shove a nug through the little peep hole just to see a pistil! so next time you can make it to the store, grab one! and you can watch your resin glands change color from clear to amber as it matures over time. it really fun to watch the plant develope at such a small scale...

I've already got a 100x microscope, it blows me away its only $10, imagine how well a $100 one works. I've got lots of trichomes, about 95% of them are cloudy, just a few clear ones left. I couldn't see any amber yet, hopefully there a week away. It sure is fun to watch them grow up, first time I looked through the microscope I was stuck for 45min.

I have my system set up for now, as I said before I thought my ec count was 850, turned out tp be 1150. I managed to bring it down to 1050 yesterday, just noticed orange spots on the tips of some leaves. If I replaced 1/2 of the fluid with ph balanced tap water would it be worth the effort to try this or just flush the entire system . I'm dealing with 16 gallons of mix.
If flushing is the only cure can I adjust the original mix and use it after flushing , and how long should I flush it for.

My system is set up for revolving circulation, with the holding tank equal to the grow buckets, I can adjust the tank and then mix it into the buckets.

Sorry for the long winded entry, but I'm getting concerned

hi Rumple --- can u tell me wht level of CO2 does MJ need? - i want to try the CO2 system for the aquarium use in my bucket --- and i want to start with the CO2 tablets as a cheap option untill i get enough money to buy a fully automatic system that controls both the ph and CO2 - it costs about 500$ here --- so the tablets looks like an option))) what u think? is it ok if i post questions and pics of that stuff here? peace

Post all the picts you want my brotha. Few things are more of a rip off then CO2 tablets. Do the math and see if it will save you anything. It will cost you 10x more then tank CO2 to finish a 60 day flowering. On top of the fact they don't work.

350-PPM is all you need. No tablets or tanks needed to get that number.

Your roots need O2 not CO2. Any CO2 enrichment you give your plants must be outside your buckets.

granted, i constantly cycle air through my grow room, but I never have felt that I lack for C02, i even bought a co2 system but havent used it because it doesnt seem to do anything when you constantly cycle air out and into your grow room.

Im wondering about this too, I dont have a sealed cab but it just seems to make sense that piping co2 into my cab and having it get sucked up through the plants out the top has to help somewhat, no??? I heard/read somewhere that MJ used to be around when Co2 levels were much higher so the more the better yeah??


{EDIT} does this make sense, it almost seems like Co2 levels aould only rise as more ane more ppl populate the earth, no?? Swear I saw that somewhere, might have been Jorge tho so u never know with him lol. . . things that make you go hmmm
