How did you attatch the 90 degree pvc elbow to ur tube?? is it 6" pvc??

I'm not sure if your cool tube is the same size or not, but it does not matter. Mine is like 5" (I think, it's been a while), I could not find anything that fit. So....

I took the damn thing down to Lowes. I called it a cooled reptile lamp (in case someone asked and I kept it in the box). I tried every elbow in the store. I found some rubber adapters in plumbing. It fit tits. They only had one! @$#@$!#$ I had to go to Homedepot (with my reptile light in tow) to get the other.
I had to buy some 4" drain pipe (real thin white on the outside black on the inside * like Eminem*) and a matching elbow. Not sure if you will need the pipe, but it can help to attach the flex to the elbow. Lowes had better elbows that made the turn real sharp (save space). Make sure to get the drain PVC elbow if possible. It is much thiner and lighter. Some of the drain elbows are not painted black on the inside and some are. I know all the pipe it fits is. The rubber adapter is stretched over the whole elbow. So find a rubber adapter that fits your tube, then find an elbow that fits in the rubber adapter.

I tried to get you some measurments and part numbers just now. But, I cant get to it. It is all the way up and covered in bud. Impossible to see.
This might be it below. I know it said clay to plastic on it. I bet this is the right size as well. Pipe is measured from the inside, so clay would be around 5" OD and plastice is close to 4". almost sure 4" plastic to 4" clay.

I told you I was not sure about the size. Them things come in all sizes. I have to stretch mine over the cool tube. The elbow slides inside pretty good.

The biggest they have is 4" to 4" which is too small, so I guess I have to try it with a metal reducer??? Shit sucks man I might just have to go with no reducer and straight up 6" flex ducting in and out of the tube. Gotta get this solved this weekend.

Rumple you rock, first off! I'm just starting week 3 of flowering in my first grow (in soil) and based on what I've seen in your threads I've decided to pretty much follow your plan. I'm gonna do 2 buckets and 1 0r 2 soil. An experiment if you will. My local hydro store sold black buckets and lids with built in net cup of varying sizes but like you said I think I'm gonna wrap 'em in reflective ducting tape anyway as I have a bunch left over anyway. As black absorbs light I'm assuming it will raise temps in buckets. I got 2 buckets and 1 lid w/ 6" net pot and 1 w/ 8" net pot built in. As I stated before as an experiment.

I've learned pretty much all I need to know reading you're various threads and a few well answered questions I've asked in them. I just recently looked a little better at your veg./mother box and was wondering if I'm correct at assuming that you have your clones in a Aero 4 Hydrogarden by American Agritech. And If so what is the hight of this unit as I was thinking about investing in one but couldn't find the specs on it. Also How do you clone in that thing. My local Hydro store Apparently carries them according to there web site but don't remember seeing one when I was there last and took my time roaming the store.

I was also looking at Botinacare's 8 site Daisy Cloner which costs about $65 as I have no use for a 30 site cloner which costs about $250-$300. If anyone else here has experience with these products any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry If I missed something you already answered but as I tend to partake in large amounts of this plant I forget things even though for the past several months I've spent a couple hours a day almost everyday on this site. I was in boy scouts and I strongly believe in their motto "Always be prepared." I'm about to be 26 and so far in life this is the code I live by other than karma and so far so good.

I started with an aero-cloner (forget who makes it), but I made changes to it. I could kick myself for buying one and not making it myself. Here is a great DIY aero cloner build http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40055 .
Best thing about making your own is, you get to choose the size of the container. It wont matter if it's 2 gallon or 50. They take plane water (distilled or RO) and thats it.


I clone in the 2" net-pots until I see roots (about 10 days)




Then I switch to 6" net-pots filled with hydroton and 50% veg formula in the clone machine. I made a special top to my cloner that will take the 6" net-pots (plastic cutting board).



I try and time it so the main grow is done (harvest) when the first sign of roots are showing in the 6" net pots. But they can last a long time in this state with very slow growth. When I see roots I know they are ready for the buckets. I drop them in at full strength veg with a 400W MH lamp on 24 hours a day for ten days.




Ten days later they look like this and are ready for flowering:




I tried to grow a plant in soil and one in hydro. Problem is, the hydro grow has more then double the growth rate then soil. It got even worse when the lamp had to be moved up to allow clearance for the hydro plant. It hogged all the light and about killed the soil plant. I killed the one in soil and finished. If you do it, you will have to raise the soil plant's container, to keep up. I had a screen in the way, impossible to move my plants up and down.

Yo, what do you think about putting the suction (sp) on the other side of the tube, closer to the light?? Im thinking about doing this but I hesitate because I see you have urs on the far side, like I have mine right now. What do you think about this is, there a school of thought?? I know ur situation is tight but for mine with no intake from outside, maybe the closer to the suction the better?? I gotta look that word up lol
