Oh also, its not really a purple strain, but depending on temperature its grown in can take a purple color every so often.

You bet I cloned her!! As soon as I saw how nice those buds were forming, and looking I just had too.. At first I figured, what the hell I have a whole pack left LOL.. I only planted one seed and got this girl . Then I got to thinking that in some cases no two from a seed pack are the same, so off to cut I went.

I took the two lowest side branches, and cut them making 5 future clones. Out of these 1 will be held as mother, and the rest flowered out most likely.. Depends on space.. I'm tight right now..

Here is a picture of the purpling bud about 2 weeks into flower. Right now she's flowering at about 80-90 degrees, and I noticed the purp a few days ago, but it was not as mature as it is now. Ps Dier.. I clipped two bud tops today!! We'll see how that goes.. Gonna be cool to see it side by side on the same plant.

Thanks man. Glad to know my efforts in keeping this journal has been appreciated.

I'm not sure if I should run my next rounds journal right along on this journal, or start a new journal for each round? What do you guys think??

I think it would be cool to see the progression in quality/skill as I get everything figured out, and dialed in growing indoors, but I'd also like for people to actually read it LOL. I know as it is I get many repeat questions as people don't actually read through the journal before asking their questions.

My journals actually seem to meld together as I have plants vegging/rooting as I'm flowering, so no real detail goes into the veg as I always have plants flowering. I do my best to post pics of both vegging clones/mothers, and flowering plants, but it gets difficult when you try to keep it very detailed as far as posting feeding schedules, pruning tech. etc..

Anyway I'll be posting an update within the next day or so. The Northern Lights is getting nice and ripe, and I'm thinking within the week I'll take her down.. Not sure if I'm going to clip the larger top buds, and let the smaller develop a bit more. This plant seemed to have lots of smaller buds, spaced out up and down the growth shoots. so with plants like this it would have been best to remove the lowest bud sites before flowering, so the plant concentrates energy to developing the larger top buds, but you can also space out harvest and take buds as they are ripe giving more time, and energy for the smaller/lower buds to develop.

the Ice plant is just going and going. My ice may need a 80+ day flowerering period, but it looks nice and sativa, and just friggin coated in crystals. Actually both the ice, and NL which took the longest to rippen both have extreme amounts of resin.

On another note I bumped up the feeding on the ppp to over 1/2 strength Pure blend pro soil formula, and starting adding some Advanced Nutrients Overdrive to my feeding schedule. I feed moderate doses of nutrients every watering instead of 1 stronger feeding a week etc. I find that it's easier for me to read the plants, and adjust doses as needed this way. Plus I've found it lowers the risk of either extreme over feeding/buring, and under feeding. I've found though with the pure blend pro they will accept as much as you offer, but like with all ferts you build up to those higher doses over a period of time

Hey Postman, very awesome job on all the great bud, I'm sure it tastes great. About how long did you let the Hashberry veg? I've just ordered some Hashberry myself (inspired by you) and would really like to be able to pull 2 ounces off each plant.

PPP coming very nicely as it always does i got 10 buckets now with PPP's Had to seperate the veg room into 2 sections LOL, so now my room you saw im my thread is now also partly flower room, 1000W flower 1000w veg.

PPP can take very high temps so 90 is no problem what so ever, one of the strongest strains i have ever grown which is why i pretty much stick to that and bob marley's best, your going to love the smoke.

I have had purple buds before, dont know why it does that every so often.

They are mylar, and they are as thick as they appear. They are the sun visors you'd place in the windshield of your car to keep the sun out. I'm sure they are not the BEST, but they are cheap, and easy to use, and work perfect in my smaller closets

Hey good choice.. Hashberry was the healthiest, nicest tasting/smoking plant in the closet. c99 x Blueberry has a dynomite taste but hashberry all around was nicer growing plant. The hashberry plant was vegged a very short time. The plant was no older then 4 months old at harvest, so I vegged it about 7-8 weeks. I did do some tieing down, but nothing major and my plant yielded 2 3/8oz dry. at less then 22 inches tall. The plant does not stretch much at all, so for confined places it's well suited to give a good yield. Becasue of the lack of stretch during transition to flower next round I'll veg it a bit longer/larger, and maximize yield.

This journal started at day 5 flower for a size refrence on how big the plant was upon being paced into flower.

Just a little update. Everything is going excellent. The plant I put into flower are starting to push out more pistals, and my ppp is going into fill bloom. With the ppp I starting increasing the feeding to 1/2 strength, and started adding in a little overdrive. They will all be on the same feeding soon enough as my clones are almost done with their flowering stretch, and that's when I usaully start bringing up my ferts.

Anyway if you read back dierwolf mentioned something about clipping the top of the buds. Well he asked me for a few pics showing the progression of those cut, so I'll picture that below. Basically what I did is I clipped two tops in that fashion, just taking off the tippy top bud until you hit the growth stem in the bud. The rest of the plant was left alone, so this plant I'm hopeing will be good to show the difference side by side as we get further into flower

couple extra pics

nl wet bud

nl dry bud

Nice clip, when taking pics in a week try get the same camera angle on the comparison shots.

Will beinteresting to see it happen on one plant, i know for sure side by side seperate plants show a huge difference...

But this, hmmm we will see, it might just force the non clipped on the same plant to bud faster rather than itself since those heads arent clipped

Either way it will help .

Hmm interesting thought.

Like I said I did this once in my first round, but only 1 bud on the whole plant. I didn't notice the others growing faster/taller, but what I did notice was a fatter top bud on the one I clipped. Like instead of growing up it grew a crown of buds on top, and grow outward.. We'll see how it goes. Either way I have no reason to believe it will effect negatively either way.
