Halfway in my first grow

I've made the decision to put my flowered plant into darkness until tomorrow when I will harvest. The flower chamber of my closet is now dark, so the B clones were moved out into a temporary box I made. Literally a box. The bottom where they sit is the box from the 65w security light. The two 42w 2700k CFL's are clamped on and aimed right above the plants. Another box sits on top to keep light out during the evening (lights out is 7pm and it's still light out, and there are no blinds on my windows anymore), and my fan is mounted on top sucking air out. It works cuz I can see the leaves moving from the breeze. This only needs to last till tomorrow afternoon. Mama and her babies Alice and Annabelle are still up in veg.

Quick update on the veg area. Mama is droopy but well. Maybe I should cut off some plant to compensate for the roots. Also pictured are Alice and Annabelle. I almost gave up on Alice but she pulled through finally, way behind Annabelle who is gaining some serious hieght. They are being fed lightly, I try to stay around a 1/4 dose unless they need more. It's dark now so I can't take pictures of the 12/12 clones Bessie and Bonnie. In that little box I had made, one of the lamps was way too close and burned one of the girls right on the new growth. I don't know which one cuz I didn't bother to check, but she'll be ok. No pistils showing yet.

Here they are, growing along. Growth has been slow and I'm wondering if it's the light. I'm gonna add in 1 daylight CFL, see if it picks up. Those are the 42w soft whites.

Yeah, I lied about the CFL. Didn't realize I used em all. And that stupid 65w one broke, only half of it lights up. Anyway, flowering has begun. Pistils first appeared on Friday, making this day 4. Bonnie is the damaged one, but she's fine. In fact she may have shown first, I forget. Pictures are Bonnie, Bessie, and then both together.

I've noticed that clones usually take off better if you just hve one fan leaf with a new growth, with a good length of bare stem in the ground.

Oh I know urgr8estfear. Actually I didn't put it away cuz I thought it was dangerous, just a waste. Oh well it was only 11 bucks at wal mart, I can go buy another. It only lasted a couple days so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who only has $11.

Hey bluebong. Thanks for the tip, I left like 3 leaves on each clone, and one usually shows a trace of deficiency on each one before they rooted. I definitely agree that was probably too much leaf, and it was suggested that I cut the leaves in half but I didn't cuz I didn't wanna make more open wounds for them to deal with.

Glad people are still checking this journal out. I guess this is my third grow now, maybe I should get them their own journal.

Thank you for posting this grow journal, it has answered many of my questions and has inspired me to start my first grow. Good job BTY, plants looked great.
