That's insane man. What are those? Two 1000 watt hps?! THose things are long and have a decent amount of bud on them for that size. Holy crap, that's a bigger grow than what I usually see, save for dier and some others.

Nah, it's just two 600Ws.

What can I say? I just love big massive plants I like the bud that comes from the biggest colas - so sticky...

Anyway, we stripped the other rhino yesterday - 6.5oz. Pretty pleased, although that one is the entire amount for the plant, no samples had 'fallen off' this one That's 3 down and 3 to go. Just over 15oz so far, but probably less than that to come. I'll post pics of it all in one place when the others are chopped down.

^^^ this is Arseface by the way...

4 Plants down, 2 to go...

All the good weed is down now. I got a total of 12.5oz of white rhino, and around 9.5oz of super skunk, plus a couple of oz that were chopped before weighing. More than I was expecting, so I'm pleased.

Most of it is shown here in this pic (sorry about the crappy quality, couldn't be bothered to get the boxes out again!). There is a couple of oz missing, but yeah - if anyone is reading thinking about growing, and has a spare room, this pic should help pursuade you what to do with it

^^ Around 20oz of finest herb there

The ice are still to come down, though they're pretty crap so I'm yet to decide whether I'm even going to keep them, or just make hash / butter with them. There's still a bit of finishing off to do on the other plants as well. I guess I just ran out of steam close to the finishing line with a couple of the plants

First solo grow. I did three other grows with Lazy Stoner, but I was away at uni for most of the first two, so I've only really seen one grow properly develop before.

Stunning!

Nice grow and a very happy ending - congrats and rep+ to a seasoned grower and not a bad bloke either - great journal!

Sorry for not getting back to you on the germination question, so here's the deal my end. Cocoa doesn't have any nutritional value and growing in it is pretty much an exercise in hydroponics, so drying out can be an issue as I've already found.

For seedlings I mix 50% Cocoa with 50% basic compost so there's something there which will hold water and which has a little nutritional value too. The seed's got enough energy in it to launch itself skywards so after that the 2-part nutes give it a feed with every water.

As for larger plants, the more cocoa in the pot the better you'll be but I'm already wondering what to do during my hols this year too - probably schedule them for the end of a grow and I'll flush 'em before I go then leave them.

Tell you what else, I've been moving some of my soil vrs cocoa comparrison plants out of soil during 12-12 and into cocao - check out the journal for the side by side comparison, it's stunning the difference it makes!

Cheers bud

further thoughts....

OK, so somewhere in my dim and distant memory I remember a mate of mine that used to compress his straggly bud into blocks using a G-clamp and some stell tubing - like scaffold pipe.

He kept the bud, but all the little bits and skinny buds he trimmed off and stuffed into the pipe using the clamp to compress it into a block which he would then store, cure and use almost like hash, crumbling bits off to flake into joints.

Not sure if that's the answer to our shared problem, but perhaps that would be one use for it?

Anyone else done or heard of this?

Cheers guys!

Now I gotta rebuild the grow room. Effort ++

These little suckas should have been under the HPS a few days ago, but they've been sitting under flourescents in little pots because I'm too lazy to do it... I'll post pics when they're all done, and start a new journal.

Thanks for all the comments guys - much appreciated.

Well, after another trip to the weediest grow shop you'll ever visit (rasta smoking as spliff behind the counter - I lie not) the new batch is in coco and under the lights. Guess it's time to let nature take its course again.

I'll try and start a new journal tomorrow. They're only little, but it'll be good to see them from the start to see the effects of the coco.
