What up?

I finally started my Super Stealth Closet grow. It consists of a 14"x14"x30" box with a 70 watt HPS light. Eventually it will have a homemade carbon scrubber, but for right now it wont smell. I have a 3 week old Nirvana White Widow clone clipped from my friends plant. In fact, the mother plants were started by my friend DBC03 (http://forum.grasscity.com/showthrea...t=71437&page=5).
Pics will come today or tomorrow.

If you have noticed in the pictures above, the ballast is in the box, creating a heat issue that i didnt realize when i built the box. The temperature was running about 92 F, with the ballast in the box. Today, i took the ballast and mounted it on the outside wall of the box. Now the its running at about 85 F. My next move will to put another small computer fan blowing the light toward the exaust. More pictures in a couple of days (friends digital camera).

Yes it is, its a bucket thats wrapped in reflective tape to reflect the light, and also to keep light out of the resovoir.

High....cough....all. Thanks for the support! The plant is doing very well, I finally see 2 roots coming out of the bottom of the basket!

But one thing that i am concerned about is the yellowing and browning of the leaves starting from the bottom. It starts as a slow yellowing at the tip, then making the leaf totally yellow, then to its stage that the bottom leaves are in now, a slow changing to brown (dead looking). You can see it in the beginning stages on my previous pictures. I checked the PH today and it was well above 7 for some odd reason. When I the changed the water 2 days ago i set the PH to 6.2-6.3. There is alot of deterioration from the red ball medium im using, and im wondering if there is a type of base thats mixing into the water from the medium to make the PH shoot up so much. Also, I put in a cooling fan on the bulb to blow out the heat through the exhaust, and it was a success by having the temperature drop to about 84 F. Would these reasons be the cause of the yellowing? I will have pictures in the next couple of days. dont worry, they will come.

As far as the PH level thats way too high especially for a hyrdo.. try switching out the medium if it is starting to deteriate.. As for the overall temp its a bit high but okay considering it was almost 100 degress in ur box with the balast haha but yea and also if you are using any nutes try watching what your doing with them.. although im no good at telling people wut to do with the nutes i know from reading a lot that they are a big thing

HIGH All, way to HIGH iron_lung..your growing to have to bring it down....5.4 to 5.9 is what my girls like it at. Are you useing Ferts yet?
