OK so a few of the plants are starting to wilt again. Does anyone know what causes this. Could it be underwatering? I gave them a bunch of water today with some weak furtilizer.
I was also thinking that the plants that seem to be wilting are the ones that are most in the direct path of my fan. Has anyone ever noticed they plans wilting if their fan has been too powerful or too close. Would that ever cause this problem?


OK so on the healthy ones iv have started to LST them. Just on two. Tell me how i did. I am goign to gradually pull them down more and eventually do it to all the plants when then get more healthy, but i feel if i add one more thing to them it might be too much.

OK so the plants that were doing really badly: (The first pic in the post above) have made a nice comeback (First and last pics here).

I am now LST all of the plants. ANyone have any advice? How do they look.

Also what does it mean if the leaves are more yellowish? (second to last) The plant is healthy but the leaves have a weird yellow green tint in some places.
Hopefully ill get a comment on this one.

Nice looking grow, sorry I can't help withthe yellowing but perhaps it could be your previous nutes. MG does seem to be the anti-christ in MJ circles, but I've used it and besides my new-found ability to glow in the dark, oh, and me chasing cars, I don't seem to have suffered any side effects

Nice choice of venue too - good luck with it!

Oh, just my two pennyworth's worth - while they are in veg, I don't have too many worries about really letting my plants have a good drink once a week, I really let 'em have it and they sure go green when I do - just a thought.

Does anyone have any experience with reducing smell, through exhaust fans and a carbon scrubber. i have some questions about that?

my main question would be whats the best method or methods that have worked for you.
or any method of reducing smell.

Hey i just FIM 3 of my plants and am not sure how i did. Check out the pic and tell me what you think, do i need to cut more off?

Also Do you see the fan leave that goes straight down on the first pic. I have a lot of those that are like that, can i cut them right below the leaves or should i leave them. Also i have fan leaves that are blocking bud sites. should i cut those?

your FIM is good.

As for the fan leaf pointing down thats because of the LST, leave it alone, as the stem stretches out and grows it will follow, in the end yes you can take it off if you want as its not facing the light anyways which its most efficient at.

As for bud sites, your in Veg dont worry about that just yet, just continue with the LST holding everything down so light is even all over the plant.

PS you can do away with the yellow bottom leafs, tehy will never come back and just waisting resources.

Hey thanks for helping me out. I have a few questions as well.

I think ill get rid of those dead and yellow leaves at the bottom. And i may cut some fan leaves that are blocking almost all the light from new branch growth? When do you think i should change my pots. I can see some roots on the bottom but also i just dont have enough room for LST anymore. Also if i do upgrade the pots then i will need more lights, other than my 2-105w CFL. I have a 430watt HPS, should i hook that up too and use it as well.

Its also been a month since they sprouted so i may give it a week or two more and put them into 12/12. I have 36" of total height about 20" from top of plants. So about a week more and i think i should be good. What do you guys think. Any advice appreciated.

Your grow is looking great, and yeah Diers right cut those bottom yellow leaves. The only reason I left mine on is b/c my plants were to immature to prune em off. Believe it or not, the part of the leaves that werent yellow were converting enough chlorophyll to grow new sets of leaves.

Oh yeah and as far as your light situation, If you have a 430watt HPS by all means USE IT!!! And as for the "re-potting" that depends on how big you want your plants. You definately want to repot before you flower...those pot you got are rather small.

Ok thanks for the advice ganja, i think i will hook up my HPS as well. I think i might as well repot soon too. I was thinking of getting square plastic buckets. This way i could maximize my soil per foot of space. Anyone know where i can get some good ones?

Also i have them in my garage now and sometimes i see small white spiders in my grow room and i saw one crawl off my pot once. WIll these hurt my plants? I think as long as i tend to them everyday they should be fine. That way i dont think the spiders would be settled would be able to do any harm.
Also what should i use for a pestacide. Do you think i need to use some or will i be okay?

Well if youre positive they are spiders then dont worry. Spiders fall into a "beneficial insect" category. They dont rely on your plants for food, instead, they eat the bugs that do. i.e. aphids, whiteflys etc... youre good man

Nice thats a relief. I pretty much assumed though that they would be harmless.
Also another question: When should i put them into flower? I want to be able to maximize my yield so i know that the longer i keep them in veg the more they will grow and thus more bud sites. But right now i dont have that much room between the top of the plants and my ceiling. I would have almost no room if i had decided to put the HPS on the ceiling directly above them. But i decided to keep my floros and hang them over the plants and then put my HPS on the side and have it tilted towards the plants. THis is the only way i can make it work. Anyway i have about 20 inches of space between my plants and the ceiling. So i was thinking that i could keep LST and keep them low and then flower in 1.5 to 2 weeks?
What do you guys think?

Well just remember, they almost will double in size after fullly flowered. So do what you have to do considering your circumstances. But what ever you do hook up that HPS!

Yes man hook that HPS up because it will give you more light to each bud site and its PERFECT for flowering... It seems to me that you need to firgure out somthing to get more room because you will want that HPS when you flower.. What you need to do is keep the room you got.. but keep it as the veg room... Then make you a room with more room for your HPS to flower plants.. then you can keep your mothers and clones in the other room and have a nice setup that you will be so fuckin happy with.

I wish i could do that but i just dont have another room. Unless i section off the one that i got. Either way i am goign to have to put the HPS at an angle off the side. But i think it will still work. I will try to set it up tomarow and post some pics.
