so ya this is my grow journal, the seeds i started with were from some decent mids, i did the floating test, i took the ones(8 out of 13) and put them inbitween 4 layers of moist papertowels on each side on a plate, covered air tight, in a warm dark place. 3 have a white thing comming off 1mm from the seeds. heres some pics of them germinating, and the containers ima plant em in for the first part of their whole life, the containers have been stearlized (no bugs, mites, mold from previous plants) their abo 4 inches deep with glass pebbles in the bottom along with drainage holes so the plants not the sit in water, and so it doesnt drown. the plants are gonna be inbitween 2 ac units with a wall on one side and hedges on the other side so its covered, the spot get sun etc, i figure air flow between the 2 units will keep smell to a minimum, the lawn guys dont go back there for the most part.

im gonna pick up soil and tomatoe food tomm, i have ph test kit, but im going to use bottled water so hopefully ph will awlready be neutral or close to it. im gonna water the pots that are full of soil and the glass pebbles and let is drain so itl be a nice wetness and once the seeds have atleast 1/4 inch root things and plant en about 5mm under the soil. by keeping the plants in the smaller conainer trying to keep the root system fairly small hoping to produce a smaller, but still a decent yeilding plants. i know its early to even be thinking about this but once its flowering can i bend the main stem and tie it down so the middle and lower parts of the plants get more sunlight producing larger buds on the lower section of the plant compensating sumwhat for what ever bud would have been produced if it were in a larger container???

update 11/15/05

my seeds suck. the,y tharted growing root things, in a dark cold place, but i read they should be ina warm dark place so i put em ina blac container with the wet towels etc etce etc, and no they havent done shit. i give em fresh air, and eveyr thing. should i put emin the sun r no?

It doesnt matter that the taproot came out in a cool area...they still popped right? That means that they will still grow...a warmer area just helps them /makes it come out faster. How long have the roots been out? 2 days? i say they are still good to grow. Put a small hole in the soil...with a pen or something, then GENTLY place the seed in the hole with the taproot going down into the soil...then just LIGHTLY cover with soil and hope for the best. good luck.

their ouside in a dark place, another one poped, and the tap root things are looking healthyr, theirs a little funk when i open it but i think thats normal, theres no mold, etc. so ill give em 2 more days then ill plant em

Well good luck tho don't expect much success as honestly you are doing just about everything wrong as could be. As soon as the seeds split and you see a root (should be at most 1 centimeter long) put them in soil imediately. Sprouts with roots longer than that tend to die if you don't burry them shallow as they only have enough engery to pop and sprout expecting to see sunlight within 48 hours or so. Do not touch the root with your fingers at all, they don't like and sometimes die. Needless to say, splitting the seeds open and pulling the plant out is a really bad idea, the seed shell usually stays on even after they sprout to protect the plant from light until it has produced enough chlorophyll do handle light and then the baby leaves open and push off the seed casing. So, pulling the seed casing off the newly popped seed is not good. I definitely do not want to sound like an asshole here but the more you know the better off you are. Regardless, good luck with your grow and MJ is pretty strong stuff and your plants could very well make it.

^^^^what the fuck are u talking about, the only time i tutched the seeds was when i switch paper towals and they didnt split yet, i havent toutched em since, their 1 to 2 MM noy CM. i havent burried any thing. wtf, that post made no sence man.

and yes they will be growing outside, and im the south.

Lighten up, I misunderstood you as it sounded like you were opening the split seeds and taking the root out.

lol, srry if it sounded hostile, it wasnt ment to be. i think im gonna plant em by this weekend regardless were the tap root is, i know when the lawn guys come, so on wed ill bring the ladies in to my closet and put in some lights that i have in the garage in

i have to much gong on and i dont have ethe time, right now, so i did sumthin and im probly gonna regret, i took ALL the seeds taprots, and non tap roots and tossed a few in my neighbors yard(thought it would be hilarious for a weed plant to grow in his front yard) and the rest i dropped along the side of my house.

if they grow, ill let em grow, and trim em, and do the water root method and start one, and let the rest flower naturaly
