So heres the story so far! Currently growing 1 white rhino (Cheers Barnaby) and everything seems ok with it at the moment.Nice broad indica dominant leaves and nice healthy colour and is about 8 days old now. I was Growing 1 'Shit' from Mr.nice but today it died ![]() It was 11 days old today and was on its 4/5 node! It all started a few days ago when i was working the night shift from 7pm - 7am.I checked em before i went to work and it looked ok so off i went to work! I checked it when i came in from work and it had grown into lights and the soil seemed dry.I checked the leaves for burn marks but they seemed ok so i gave the soil a good soaking with water and moved the plant further from the lights. Later that day i decided to check on em, The 2 lower leaves had curled up and had light green spots in the middle of the leaves.I thought i might of spilled some water on the leaves and they got burned so i left them the way they were but the problem continued. The light green spots had turned more brownish but was only on the lower leaves. It eventually spread and killed it today! I still dunno wot the problem was exactly, it looked like either a Ph problem or an Mg Deficiency from pics ive seen.Im only using normal potting soil. When i examined the pot today i noticed the roots were growing out the end of it.Ill post sum pics today and ye can see wot im talking about. So ive got the WR at the moment and another one on the way as well so that will do lol, Cant believe it died though, the thing was absolutely thriving and then just died ![]() CWL

Excellent info ![]() I was actually confused about mg and ph levels and adding too much mg etc, but that cleared everything up! Thanx! So my soil is too acidic and locking out nutes so the only answer is to raise the ph level of the soil to 6.3 -6.8 and everything should be ok! Actually the soil i used was laying around for a while and may have been contaminated with something,im gonna buy new soil 2moro and see if i can get something to measure ph! Theres actually bottled water over here that has a ph value on it of 6.5, would this help keep it stable u think? Any1 got any good ideas on how to raise the ph of soil easily? Thanx for all the help guys! CWL OMG - just checked the white rhino and it seems like it may be happening to that as well! ![]() Its early still though so i got a good chance of saving it! Im not gonna let this 1 die! I got a feeling its a lady for some reason! hopefully it will be around long enough for us to find out.Ill keep ye updated!

So heres the update anyway! I think im having the same ph problem with my white rhino so last night i mixed up some wood ashes and watered em the mixture, hopefully it will bring the ph up a point or 2 till i can get new soil and stuff! It seems to have stabilized it and grew a bit since last night too, Here are the pics anyway of the little bugger, See the little brown spots appearing just like the last plant.......they seemed to have stopped though now and may be ok till i can fix it! This 1 aint a fast grower though compared to the 'shit' plant! That 1 kicked ass!

Thanx! I got 5 white rhino and 5 nl vs big bud seeds off a buddy of mine that i met here, And he gave em 2 me for free too! So if your out there barnaby, Thanx m8! ![]() Actually im gonna call this plant barnaby...lol ![]() It looks healthy and has nice strong stems and i recently re-potted and it seems to be taking off well.Just hope that ph problem doesnt pop up and bite me in the ass lol. This is my first 'actual' grow but ive been reading for 2 years now and ive had a few crappy attempts as well that never got going cos i got caught before they even broke the soil lol, hopefully all that reading will pay off lol, I think im gonna look for a 150w hps and use all the flouro's i have to build a veg box after this grow! Im getting greedy now lol CWL

I forgot i put a NL vs Big Bud seed on a tray as well to germ! I checked it a while ago and it sprouted, it was short enough so it must of sprouted late lol, I potted it anyway in a small pot and added some dolomite lime to the soil to raise the ph a bit,Its in the box now so ill post a pic when it sprouts! Just started growing and already ive seen a skunk/afghani, white widow/blue rhino and hopefully a nl/big bud! If the nl/big bud survives then ill have 2 plants and ill hopefully get 1 female to harvest and get some bud! and a clone as well! ![]() Then im gonna build a seperate veg box with the flouro's i already have and build a new flower box with a hps! But for now im happy just to get some quality bud! CWL
