hey all

gonna give this journal another go.. i deleted the last one because the hate got out of hand pretty quickly.
PLEASE feel free to comment, compliment, critique, spout random off topic bullshit anything.. just be cool and have fun.

quick background on the grow:

it's been a continuous grow for about 6 months or so i guess.
i run a 6 bulb T-5 fluorescent fixture for my veg and clone area, and a 1000 watt HPS with 2 UVB 10.0 lights.
I'm thinking of squeezing in some blue spectrum at some point, but maybe down the road.

I grow for personal use only for myself and a few of my very close friends and will not sell weed to anyone.

the strains that are going at the moment:

Island sweet Skunk (Federation seeds )
Grapefruit x Blueberry (Chimera x DJ Short)
East Coast Sour Diesel (clone)
NYC Diesel (Soma Seeds)
Purple Wreck (Purple Urkel x TrainWreck) DNA Genetics (Reserva Privada)
KAL-X (TH Seeds) *coming soon

Ive been using Fox Farm Ocean Forest from seed to harvest and it's worked out really well for me so far.
The nutes vary and it's not really a planned regiment, i just kinda feed them when i feel as though they need something (sorry if that sounds idiotic lol)

in veg it's Botinacare Pure Blend Pro "Grow"

for flower it's some sort of combination of any of these depending on where they are at.. i'll go into more detail as the grows progress. I document it pretty well cause i don't really keep a calendar or anything.

B'cuzz Bloom
Hygrozyme
Sweet Leaf
Big Bud (Dr. Hornby liquid)
Overdrive

i beleive in the theory small doses and dealing with the rare deficiency as opposed to heavy feedings and dealing with the very common PH issues, burns and lockouts and crappy tasting weed at the end.

i'll split it into 2 posts.

the veg area:

NYC Diesel Mom she's been going for quite a while now.. i give her some grow formula every couple weeks

Sour Diesel Mom back from the dead. she went into some sort of shock on me a while back, but has really pulled through nicely.

Grapefruit x Blueberry mom.. she's kinda retarded looking like the ones in flower.. but the bud is so fkn dank.. i have some nice pics of the buds

Sour diesel clone that i took during flower when the mom got sick.. it's FINALLY starting to grow. It sat there with really nice roots forever. I keep saying that if it has good roots and a leaf it will grow at some point

last weeks clones are looking pretty good.. the PW's rooted and the others are still working on it.. the PW clones were from young plants at the bottom. The others are from older moms and mostly large clones from the top. The milk crate says i'll be prosecuted if found with it. I was thinking it would be really funny if they showed up with a warrant looking for the crates, and couldn't bust me for the weed lol.

ok here's the flowering stuff.

2 sour diesels and 1 grapefruit x blueberry are begging to get harvested.. so i'm gonna watch weeds on the tivo and cut up some buds i think.

Purple Wreck is a week in 12/12. These are all from seed. I kept the 3 strongest females out of the 5 i ended up with. Looks like there's 2 phenos here. The first one showed sex really fast and is just starting to show signs of flowering. The 2nd took forever to show, and shows no signs of flowering at all

[b]NYC Diesel[ this ones doing much better than the one i just harvested.. it's getting way more light./B]

Island Sweet Skunk. this is the 4th seed i tried of this stuff, and the 4th pheno.. this one is really sativa dom.. it stretched at least 4x the size when i put it in flower, forcing me to transplant mid stretch. I also had to bend the cola, it doesn't seem to mind.. and hopefully it wont hermie.

Grapefruit x Blueberry. i'll let the pics do the talking.. i think it's ready to harvest.

Sour Diesel.. the 2 in the pic are the oldest of the 4. they'll get chopped before next week.

thanx for looking in man.. i can't really remember tbh.. only grew a couple 100% sativas. i'd guess 6-7 weeks of 18/6 would be on the high end though.

Hey AW I see that you have some experience with Sour Diesel. Almost 2 days ago I planted a Delta-9 Labs Sour Diesel seed. Today, I measured it and it's nearly 2 inches tall already. Could this possibly be because my light is too far above it? Its 200watt CFL growth 6 bulb in a mh casing, 4 inches above the top of the sprout. How much closer is too much? I just don't want it catching up on me later having a 6 foot tall SD plant. As nice as that sounds, I have limited spacee and its imperative that I control the growth as much as possible, haha. I'll post a picture later tonight. Thanks!
