Well, like the title says, it's my first time growing and my first journal, so if I'm doing anything wrong, let me know!

Day 1: 2 Seeds that I planted on 6/9/08 have sprouted today, I was concerned about the yellow color but I looked it up and that's supposed to be normal. Right now they're outside and will probably remain there for a week or 2 until I get some sort of grow room set up. I have 7 other seeds waiting to sprout. I read on this forum that the seeds don't need any nuts for around 24 days, so I'm holding off on that for now. These guys are bag seeds. I didn't want to spend money on nice seeds and mess them up. If this is going well, I'll buy some from a website (I'm thinking white widow). I'm using MG soil, and the seeds right now are being held in party cups. I plan to replant them straight into 3 or 4 gallon buckets when they get older.

One thing I'm concerned about: I live in a very hot climate, the temp right now is about 95 degrees and 50% humidity, will that be ok on my little sprouts? Should I mist them or just water them? How often? Thanks!

First one seems pretty hearty, she was the first one to sprout and shot up out of the dirt about 1.5 inches a few hours after she was planted. Second one seems to be pretty average. I have 7 more waiting in the garage, about to sprout.

so is this gonna be an outdoor grow? as far as outside temps i dont think they will be bad im sure the plant can handle it.

No, they're just outside because I don't have a grow room set up yet. They'll be out there for a week or 2 until I get everything toger. Lights are so expensive. Could I use one of those energy saver lights? How many lights do I need for 9 plants?

energy saver you mean the cfls spiral flouro's those work get the ones that are in the blue spectrum that say daylight 6500k go for the biggest ones you can find of those which is probably 26watts, also get y-adapters for the light so you can put 2 lights in one socket. should be able to get all this at wal-mart. should cost about 30 dollars or 40.
