first outdoor grow
First Outdoor Grow started during Earth Week 2008
First things first, I contacted a friend of mine who was in possession of some outdoor seeds from our local high-grade bud. I divided the seeds he gave me into 2 areas: Half in zip-loc'd damp paper towels, and the other half in a cup of water covered with a shoebox. While the germination was happening, I purchased a Jiffy Greenhouse which contains biodegradable sphagnum peat moss for my little seedlings. A total of 4 days for germination until I transported the seedlings to my Jiffy Greenhouse using tweezers and planting root down. I placed the greenhouse lid on top and stored the greenhouse in a secret drawer in my dresser. After 4 days of checking and after 2 days removing the lid slightly, this picture is the result. ![]() Soon after this picture was taken, a purchase of 4 8' pots and Miracle-Gro potting soil with 3 month fertilizer was purchased. These babies were placed outside soon after to just to temperature and reduce shock. For 3 days of sitting under a tree in my location (which is a fenced, demolished trailer park which has been vacant for 2 years), I was ready to transport the seedlings which turned green more. I was going to divide up the 9 seedlings 5 in 4 pots and 4 in the ground so I purchased gardening soil to mix in with my 5 x 5 plot. Soon after the transporting was finished, I came back 2 days after to water and noticed 2 plants died already leaving me with 2 pots and 4 in the ground. As of instruction, I watered every 3 days for a few weeks until about a week ago when I felt the weather change and began watering every other day (tampa weather 80's +) As of May 11th, 2008 these 3 plants are the survivors. ![]() I apologize for the size of the ground one as my phone resized it.I will continue to write daily. ALL ADVICE, CRITICISM, AND WISDOM are ACCEPTED HERE! Today is May 13th, 2008 and here's a better picture of my ground plant which appears to have grown some. ![]() ps. there appears to be 2 small curling leaves at the bottom of my ground plant, any diagnosis? ALL ADVICE IS ACCEPTED HERE!
