New grow competition?

Weeeeeeell... that is still easily edited. Let's just go by gentleman's rules, it is a friendly. How about we all play fair. Cheating in a growing competition is bad for weed karma.

And I like the 4 month long comp idea. So what's the start date? Let me know and I'll start a competition thread where we can all post our stuff periodically

Can we agree on 1 gal max?

So how about we begin germination on Thursday, May 15th (just because it's mid-month and easy to remember that way). Seeds only. 1 gal max, 100w CFL max at any one time. Ends 4 months later, September 15th.

If that flies with everybody I'll post a competition thread

yes, we need a wee bit more time to get more peeps,

and we shoul get to germ 2 seeds, not just one, or as many as we want but there must be only 1 left uring flowering?

lol then it becomes a grow instead of a competition if you have more then one plant.

how about we can do this. germinate 2 and pick best seedling @ 3 weeks.

I think we should play legit. you can tell if a plant flowered under a cfl or a hid, its pretty obvious. the buds are sexy on cfl but way less dense and smaller.



im thinking about going 12/12 from seed. ^_^ w/ this comp

its may 13th today. How about we start official germination of the seeds on May 31st, Competition Ends Last Day of Sept. Winner is decided by popular majority poll. must submit pictures from entire grow, one picture a week minimum, *you dont have to post the pictures so we can have some suspense during the run




i also say that we set the watt's to 105 instead of 100.

the make a very nice 105 CFL bulb that even comes with a little ballst lol. its supposed to produce smell killing uv rays or w/e. i wanna try this lol.

Here's my input:

- 105w sounds good
- BioloGyMaJor: I like the idea. Anybody else down for two plants, pick the best one at 3 weeks and use only that one (psst, I'm a biology major too. NEAT)

Hmm, competition? I'm in.
I say limit plant amount to 8 plants (a normal sized grow).
100w of CFL sounds good as well.
Would LED be allowed to account for leftover unused wattage?

all based on the honor system i suppose. oh well, even if you cheat, it's not like it's gonna be that great of an accomplishment trying to brag on here about a plant you grew using a higher powered setup versus a lower powered setup.



and how about making a stipulation where the cfl's can only be from walmart. no special plant-type cfls.
