thanks AW. hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from here on out!

quick question for anyone who is wiser than myself:

i probably will stop feeding her nutes to flush her in about 2 weeks or so, maybe less. first, do people think it's worth feeding mollasses around now or have people not had good success with it? second, if people do use it, does feeding the mollasses in the flushing period defeat the whole purpose of flushing or is that ok to feed up until harvest? thanks for any help.

i use sweet leaf (which is pretty much the same as molasses) all the way to my last watering. tbh you don't need to go crazy flushing because there wont be much nutes & salts lying around in your dirt because of the way you fed your plants. Looks like everything is gonna get used up, which is a really good thing

cool thanks again aw. i'll go easy on the whole flusing thing then. and i'll try and start adding a little molasses (or maybe i'll check out my local stores for sweet leaf) sometime soon, and continue through the end.

yeah do some research on the right molasses.. i think people use "unsulfered" or blackstrap or something like that.

UPDATE:
Day 45 of flowering (6.5 weeks). I fed her molasses (1 tsp in 1/2 gallon, unsulfered) two days ago for the first time. Also fed her just a touch of nutrients in today's feeding (1/4 tsp). Buds are filling in still, but maybe a little bit slower than previous weeks. Hopefully they will continue to swell more (the more bud the better!). Some more pictures from today:

Day 50 flowering:

I managed to sneak in some pictures just as the light went out to see her without the HPS and CFL's going. I figure she's got another 2 weeks left...I was pretty surprised to see that some of the trichs have turned cloudy already (~25%). Can't wait to harvest her... I'm hoping for 3 ounces dry, but realistically I think it'll be 2 ounces based on what my last plant looked like and yielded. Doesn't much matter either way, but it's fun to dream about!

damn dude what a perfect grow you have going!
they'll fill in some more for sure.. those white hairs are still popping out like a porcupine, you have a solid 3 weeks at least from the looks of the buds on my end.. but i'm not all close up in them like you are.

really nice dude.. one of the nicest grows on this forum imo. Sativas are a bitch and you really look right on schedule man.

thanks AW! i appreciate the compliment a lot. since i can only realistically grow one plant each year, i try to take extra care and a little pride in the project...
3 weeks could certainly be a reasonable estimate on the amount of time till harvest. in the last week or so the buds are really filling in a good bit. i have had to tie up a few of the side branches because they were starting to topple over a little. in fact, i have to run into the hard ware store on my way home from work today to get some more string to tie more branches. hopefully that's a sign she has good some good heavy buds on there! and if it's going to be another 3 weeks, she could really put on a bunch more. this is exciting!

Day 52 of flowering. Took some trich shots through my 10$ radioshack microscope. Not the greatest, but you get the idea. They still are mostly clear, so she's still got some cooking yet to do.

58 days flowering (just over 8 weeks):

Buds are filling in some still I think, and the hairs are slowly turning brownish. I checked the trichs under a microscope and some are definitely turning cloudy (~1/3). In all, definitely showing signs of coming near the end! I figure 1.5 weeks or so until harvest?

Out of curiosity, anyone grown the "real" Jack Herrer? How does the Jock Horror compare? I took a picture of a side bud without a flash (see last picture) to get a sense of the real color of the bud. I always remember Jack Herrer being a light green-ish color from online photos, which this seems to have (at least more than the white widow i grew last year). Any thoughts on that??

No flash picture:

thanks AW! but damn this waiting game is so painful! you are probably right though...it may very well be more than 1.5 weeks. i am checking the trichs with my microscope on a regular basis so i won't commit the crime of harvesting too early (despite the urge).

thanks barry, glad you were able to start looking at my grow...glad you think it's going well too. it's super fun watching the buds grow, i wish i could do this as a full time job but unfortunately the real world gets in the way. and 3 oz's would incredible...my goal originally was 2 oz's, so if i only get that then i'll be super stoked.
