First time grow - 400w MH (HPS Flower)

First time grower here

I bought the seed classic pack from marijuana-seeds.nl containing Big Bud, Bubblegum, Northern Lights, and a other seeds.
I planted 5 originally and one died, 2 are now remaining at 6 weeks and 2 plants at 4 weeks old. I am also germinating 6 other plants in rockwoll cubes.

I also want to take a cutting from one of my plants and clone it and try my outdoor green-thumb as well.

It started as a budget CFL grow and turned into more then that. As of a few days ago they were under the new 400w MH, in a 3 by 4ft closet.

Currently they are in a generic topsoil i found, no name but it seems to be doing a decent job. I have been feeding them with distilled water every 3rd day, using Pure Blend Pro grow and Superthrive.

Temp is generally 80-100, light set about 18 inches above the pots.

Enjoy, tips appreciated.

First off, welcome to the wonderful world of growing your own weed second good choice upgrading from the CFLs, your plants will thank you
Yeah, if you start cloning that will be awesome for growing outdoors. I actually like outdoor growing better, it just seems so natural but the watering is a bitch.

anyway good luck with the rest of your grow and your other plants

Thanks

Any clue whats up with the plants in the second and fourth pic? They are an unknown strain, about 1 month old
Soil PH is 7, Runoff is like 6.8 or so on both. I will take another reading when i water them again , it looks like a magnesium or phosphorus deficiency?

hmmm, well I'm not too sure, but the last time my leaves looked like that (besides when I left the light too close and burnt them) I put some epsom salt in the water and it seemed to work. Epsom salts would work if it's a magnesium deficiency, which it may be. This is a good thread about it. I had some epsom salt just lying around the house and it did the trick I don't know if it messes with the PH though...

But if you are going to try epsom salts, here's what a post in that thread said.

epsom salt in large quanities will kill ur plant.

we are talking 2 teaspoons of epsom per whole grow = 3 months.

the epsom salt will add Mg., which is needed to ur plant. its kinda like an insurance policy for ur plants.

Hopefully it works out for you.

I dont have an ec/ppm meter sadly.

I need to water them today, just straight distilled to flush some of the nutes out. I fed them last week anyways.

Edit: Alright, all watered up! pH is holding at 6.5 for the oldest, 6.8-7.0 for the younger plants.
One of my seeds sprouted the other day, the rest should be soon to follow.

Update:

They were healthy for a while, but now they are showing multiple deficiencies?

Pics/More info on my grow!

Update 5/4/08

Temp ranges from 75-90
Humidity from 32-50%

18/6 under my 400w MH about 12 inches above the tallest plant top

Every other watering they get their dose of Pure Blend Pro Grow and a drop of superthrive mixed with a gallon of distilled. When they don't get nutes i water with straight distilled.
If they need more then i add straight distilled until the drainage fills up and i empty it.
To help with the deficiencies i may add some liquid karma in my water for the next few watering cycles and see if that helps.

Heres a few more pics...

Mmmmm anyone want some Bubblegum?
