Growing for the love of it

Hi. Doing a new grow in conjunction with some fellow enthusiasts.... well sort of. It's been going on for about 9 weeks, so it's not technically "new". About 6 weeks of Veg from 6" tall clones and about 3 weeks of flowering. This is a mix of Blackberry and Afghani mostly, with a few oddballs thrown in there for effect, total of 27 I think. They began their grow under the 400w HPS and 400w MH about 3 weeks after we got them, before that they were under about 300w worth of flourescents. A little topping to make them bush up and then let them go. Among them is a mini monster of a girl I'm proud to have gave tlc to. It's a Purple Arrow by strain and beautiful if I may say so myself. I love seeing the girls change as they go. They have really filled out but my most recent pics are not avaible to me, just some older ones, but I'll post the ones I have anyway.

Thanks for stopping in and dropping a kind word doob and smash. Affirmation from like minds still meaens something in my book.

Well, to answer your question, per gallon of feed water is 1/2 tsp of a 10-20-15 bloom booster, about 1 1/2 tbsp of molasas and about 1/8 tsp of super thrive. Applied ever 4-5 days depending on how the girls are acting, with a water only run on their 4th watering. I'm not sure if more would improve things but I'm pleased with the progress, so if it ain't broke what's for the fixin right?

I had a mite scare yesterdady, thought I saw mites butwhen I checked the same plant today with the intentions of a full room spary at 3 weeks flower but failed to find any mites, even on the plants around it or else where. All the girls recieved a dose of systemic mite and pest deterrent the day they were sent into flower and will recieve another one next thursday. I'm kind of divided on spraying with neem at this point anyway. Anyone have any thoughts please say a word of wisdom or five.

The soil is Black Gold organic mix. I like it but wish I didnt have to cram so much soil into the pot over time to keep it up to the top. It kind of sags into itself and shrinks if you dont fill the pot and give it a little patting down when you first place your girl into her pot. Word to the wise though, water them and make sure that the water is traveling through the soil not just down the sides between it and the pot. I may not be watering often enough for this type of soil now that I think about it. It's our first time using it.

on the nutes, i doubt more would be better, imho its way better to under feed than to over feed as they cant really heal from nute. burn, it looks like your room is FULL of some beauties man i hope you guys have a very bountiful harvest

I have heard of black gold soil before so it must really be good quality stuff. Looks like you have a good grow growing their sir. Good luck, and I hope everything turns out good.

Thanks for stopping by Rev and Howard, it's nice to get exposure you know? I'm with you on the nutes doob. Check out the difference on bud size from 1 1/2 weeks and 3 weeks. I'd say that they are trucking along fine if Im not tooting my own horn too hard.

These Next few pictures are a couple of the Purple Arrow I talked about in my first post at 3 weeks of Flower. She was going to be vegged longer but there was no room to do it right once we really got going. If you have a good eye you can spot her in a few of the pictures I've already posted.



















These next pictures are of a Speed Queen female that is from seed and she is going to get the big pot treatment and mothered tough. I think she is about 6 weeks old if I'm not mistaken.

These are of a Thai Haze+Skunk #1 that is about as old as the Speed Queen, also from seed, and I'm not sure but I think I might have my first hermie on my hands. If you can look through the blur you might see the "frayed" kind of leafy apparenece that this pistil wanna-be has taken in the first picture. In the second picture that formation is more pistil like and looks like the other Thai/Skunk cross that I have from the same stock that IS female did. What do ya'll think?

Yesterday I took 4 clones from each of these plants, both of which show signs of girl power.

this girl got the big pot treatment

These are the first clones to come from the $peedQueen mom#1 they are in the foreground



This one I have changed my mind about. I now believe that it is fem all the way....

I was also given a $kunc varity clone yesterday, you can actually see some of it's siblings in the background of the $peedQueen clone pic, they are on the left. It may be $kunc #1 but it could by any version I was told. It smells alot like poop or a nasty fart. No joke. I picked it for its smell alone as I had my choice from several tthat had more tops and were bushier, but I just HAD to have it. Can you blame me? I'll get a pic of that up soon. I think I'm gonna turn it into a bubble-tub grow that I'm adding to this thread.

looking good bro that one close-up of the internodes didn't look like you have any white hairs just yet so hopefully it is female but from the looks of the pic there is no sign of sex just yet. I would suggest mixing that black gold with coarse perlite it would make the mix hold better than by itself. I usually do a 50/50 mix of soil and perlite but 60% soil and 40% perlite is a good ratio as well.

Thanks for stopping in Rich, the girls like being small time internet stars . You know Rich, the only reason that I dubbed that one fem, is because all the ones I have had turn up fem have showed that teeny tiny pistil pouch without white hairs, I may have not captured it well enough for others to see from film but it is plain to the naked eye. And they all come from the same stock of seed, well they are 2 dif strain of course but I got them at the same time.One I think might be male has little nubs not "pistil" like protrusions. Ill def keep an eye on them, but I dont believe I have jumped the gun. Here is a pic of the mabye male
