i had mine out not too long ago, right before christmas and it was pretty shitty,

lol, did you keep your teeth, they gave me an IV of some kind of coctail of drugs, i was hammered for a good 30 before i went under and when i came out of it i was told how i told the doctor i wanted my teeth, and i would be mad if i woke up and didnt get to keep them for the 4800 he was charging me lol.

just dont suck on anything, they tols me not to smoke but i just rolled lose joints and smoked through my nose just fine, maybe that will help.

damn man your plants look amazing! what kind of camera are you using, or are the plants just that awesome?

noticed you have the same cooltube as me and you have one end open for exhaust like me, do you find yourself cleaning the dust out of it a lot or do you just let it be? i find myself cleaning it once a week.

doob: No, I dind't get my teeth. I probably could've got 2 of them back but the other 2 were impacted and were pretty much drilled and smashed to bits. It was so fast though. I sat in the chair, the nurse plugged in the IV, the doctor came in... asked me a couple questions as he injected shit into the IV... I answered 2 questions and was out cold. I woke up 2 seconds later, was a bit groggy but didn't have any pain what so ever, I was told I had a conversation with the nurse after the surgery, but I have no recollection. They prescribed me a 40 pill bottle of 750mg Loritab, a bottle of penecillin, gave me a stack of guaze and some instructions and sent me on my way. The whole process took 35 minutes. I haven't smoked since the surgery, cuz these pills are kicking my ass plenty.

hwhobbs: Thanks man. It's totally just the camera. Get yourself a Canon Powershot and turn the shwagiest lookin plants into magazine quality images. I clean the Cooltube every couple weeks. I try to keep my house as dust free as possible, so there isn't much to clean off the bulb and tube. But yea, I like to keep both the tube and bulb as clean and dust free as I can.


GROW UPDATE:

Dumped, cleaned and refilled the res last night. No problems there, was quick n easy. I inspected the plants thoroughly and the only noticable damage from the PH drop was a little leaf discoloration on the top of one branch on the smaller plant. The larger plant still looks 100%, so everything is under control and moving forward.

An older issue rears it's ugly head again. So over the last 4 days, the buds have noticeably been swelling and fattening up. Because they were swelling up, I didn't really notice that the tops were still stretching! and this time the stretch went as high as I could allow. The light was at max hight, and the nearest top was only 9 inches bellow. Soooo I had to train the tops... again. Many stalks were still very pliable and bent just fine... but more than a few had to be snapped. I really wish I didn't have to do that, but I feel that it's better than topping at this point.

I'll take some pics tonight and post them up some time tomorrow.

Sup Smoove. Girls are lookin good. I just had some wisdoms out a few weeks ago. They took one out that they said was so impacted it left a farkin hole in my jaw. Fun times.

I haven't been around much lately cuz there was a setback in wisdom teeth recovery. I sucked out two clots and had some serious dry socket issues. Basically I was in a lot of pain and nothing was helping except knocking myself out and sleeping. But I'm awake now... over the hump and well on my way to full recovery.

CaliCoast: Yessss. Cali's GC seal of approval. Where's my certificate? and yes, this bitch wont stop stretching! Do you think there are any nutrients or supplements that might amplify stretch? I know it's pretty much genetics but you think it could be an attribute that can be coaxed out a bit more with a particular feed? I read in another forum that it was 1 growers experience that Liquid Karma increased the stretch of his plants, and I use it in their feed. I wonder if there's any connection. hmmm

doob3r: spoke too soon man. Every time I woke up it felt like someone cracked me in the jaw with a bat while I was sleeping... thank god the worst is over. And about harvesting the plants... I think I have like 5 weeks left to flower these babies out... They're yet again in a very transitional phase because I trained all the tops. Hope I didn't fuck up the grow. It looks really weird right now.... seeing a 12" top laying sideways is kind of disheartening.

boochiano: omg it totally sux. I agree with you 100%. These pics aren't that nice but I'm hoping in a few weeks I'll have something worthy of showing off.

sergio: Stretch! The bane of my existence. I'm convinced that I lost some potential yield from my last top-training campaign. But I think i would have burnt some tops and lost a lot of light spread which would have been worse over all. I'm just rollin with the punches, goin with the flow. It's all about learning right? my next grow in this cab will only have 1 plant.




PICTURE - GROW UPDATE:

Well it seemed like the plants needed a few days to recover from the top training, cuz the few days after I did it there was hardly any growth and only minor bud production. However things seem to be back on track, the snapped stems have healed, the tops are turning themselves upright and flowers are really thickening up. I expect nothing but swelling and fattening from this point forward which looks to be about 4-5 more weeks.


These 2 pics were taken 5 minutes after I trained the tops last Sunday 4/27.


It's hard to tell but if hadn't trained the tops they would only be about 3 inches from where the light is in this picture.








Another thing I'm pretty bummed about is the height difference between the 2 phenos. It's obvious who's getting all the light at this point and I'm considering dropping in a couple CFLs to supplement the HPS. What do you guys think?

Hey smoove, those plants are looking great. Sorry I havent been keeping up with your grow but have been pretty busy lately and barely able to halfway keep up my own journal. I have peeked at this thread before but never close enough to see exactly what is going on. You have a nice setup. How long do you think it will be before you are ready to harvest?

Our girls are close to the same age, started flowering I think about 4 days apart. So far HGS seem to do as advertised, not much to complain about. I had a digital elph for about 7 or 8 years and it took great pictures too until it stopped being able to read it's card. I got my money's worth out of it anyway and after 8 years its time for a camera upgrade anyway. I always had to ajust the brightness and contrast just a little to get the pics to look just right.

Hopefully I will be able to spend more time with my grow and these journals for awhile now.
