alright almost to the 4 week point here only 3 more days and the growth keeps getting more and more vigorous. the 2 plants i have in front are starting to really overtake the 2 in back to the point where i am having to trim and top like crazy. which hurts me to do. but im having to raise my light about 2 times a day which is actually really annoying they are growing i'd say about 3-4 inches every 26 hours. i have had to top my two front plants about 3 seperate times this week! rediculous i tell you lmao.

due to space issues i may have to induce flowering sooner than 5 weeks but we will see. i have a big closet its just having to raise these lights all the time is beggining to be a task.

lol oh yeah im also getting a 400W HPS for flowering which brings the total lumens in the closet for flowering too.

lol im lookin at blue omg im baked but yeah instead of getting a HPS im trying something which ill also post pics of on monday but i bought another power strip and hooked up 8 more 6500K 26W cfls this setup illuminated 3 rooms in my house lmao. its fuckin nuts but it brings the total lumens too

alright guys there is a huge difference from week 3 to 4 i think its crazy growth but yeah theres also a lot more lights too soo they could go hand in hand but either way yeah so when i checked my plants i noticed something odd on the sativa dominant plant

p.s. im like 85% sure that 2 so far are female(and thank god they are the biggest 2 of the 4) one of them isnt really showing any signs yet and another is showing signs of a hermie or male(god i hope not)

the 2nd pic is the sativa dominant strain that spitting out 11 fingered leafs
1 plant is very sativa dominant
1 plant is very indica dominant
2 plants are i'd say about 40% S/ 60% I

i'd like some feedback they have been topped and i trim down the bigger leafs to ensure that the cfl's penetrate into the plant so the internodes get good growth too

11 fingers is normal. It varies from strain to strain, it's all genetics.

Nice looking plants, man. My older plants are blowing up, my young ones look healthy but haven't hit the crazy growth stage yet.

When you plan on switching over? That's my big debate right now.

Also, are your roots a bit tannish instead of white? I remember mine were white when I first saw them but they all seem a bit tan now. Just curious.

im not sure itll either be 2 or 4 days from now. with so much growth so far im thinking that my space may become a limiting factor during the strecth

yeah it really depends on how much bud you want the longer you veg the more your final yield will be i believe someone correct me if im wrong but when i grow bagseed i do like 2 week veg 9 week flower but since these are quality seeds that i ordered i figure 4-5 week veg but itll be like 4 1/2 when i switch and then ill let em get nice and ripe

that's right, the longer you veg the larger the yield

I also have tan roots but I use brown food so I kinda figured it was ok

and I grow my plants til about 18" in veg and lst a decent amount because at that size they get about 4' tall by the time they are done (under hps for flower)

im shooting for about 3 1/2 feet tall at finish but i have a feeling that the sativa plant in there is going to stretch like a 100 yr old ball sack

and it smells like gin and juice once mixed lmao plants like to get crunk

hahaha, I've already had a few close calls. Twice now I've had to tell people that came into my room that I had just got done smoking. They all agree that whatever I smoked was some funky shit lol.

So yours are already showing sex? I know genetics plays a big part in it but should I be seeing signs in my two older ones (one is at 6 1/2 weeks, one at 5 1/2 weeks)...

And do you start counting the weeks when they first reach up out of the rockwool or when they grow their first set of leaves? Or the first set of REAL leaves? Just wondering because it doesn't seem like I've been vegging that one for almost 7 weeks now...

As far as my odor issue, I think I'm going to buy a carbon filter. The one I made only seems to work half the time for some reason, so I know it'll be overpowering once I get into flowering.

hey bro, ive been thinking about making a 4 plant rubbermaid dwc setup, im very fond of the bubble buckets but i want to see if i can get more plants in a small place with it, my only question is how are you emptying it? i was thinking of putting a sub. pump in there but wasnt sure if it would suck the roots in or not, they seem to thin to seal up with a ball valve without glue, whats your method?

Not to speak for the zab-man, but I'm pretty sure he just does what I do.

You take the plants w/the lid off, stick it on another container, and physically dump the reservoir and clean it out before putting it back together.

doob3r, why not just feed with the lucas formula and not dump your res at all?

I don't think it matters what hydro method you use, I used it with dirt and hempy buckets had decent results!

Buy yourself a medium sized bin and a decent air pump with a few stones and build a bubble bin for $40 then order yourself a quart of Floranova Bloom for $25/w free shipping and a $10 bottle of PH up (maybe some down too)

If you HAVE to dump it, get a 400 gph pump for $15 and just pump the water out when needed
