The dark purple is White Widow.
If you put your pH meter into RO, there are no free ions, and the ionic reference fluid in your probe, or the silver chloride reference wire, will loose ions to the RO, through the ceramic junction, which will cause your probe to fail calibration test. ![]() When you calibrate your probe, if the numbers won't stabilize, in under 30 seconds, your probe is faulty, and should be replaced. When your meter breaks, and it will, get one with a detachable probe, so you can keep a spare probe handy, or you could be OCD like me and have two meters, with spare probes. I also have three dead meters sitting on the shelf. If you want to grow hydro, get a good meter and check the calibration at least once a month. I have had good luck, so far, with Milwaukee, but you still have to replace the probes, about every two grows, if you're careful. Probes that can be left in the rez full time, last longer, as moving the probe around, can cause it to loose cal. Never tap the probe on the side of your rez, drop it or bump it on anything. If you do, you should check the calibration before you use it again. Only wash your probe with plain tapwater, and a gently applied, soft toothbrush. No soap, no RO, No clearex! Never let the probe dry out. This will clogg the ceramic junction, and the meter will fail. The probe should be stored in a high ionic solution, which would be called pH "probe storage fluid", or if you don't have that, pH 4.01 calibration fluid can be used, but will leave salt deposits. Most cheaper meters are not accurate enough for me. The Milwaukee and the PinPoint are both accurate to .01 not .1 like most, or to put it like this....... PinPoint and Milwaukee are 10 times more accurate than the nearest competition, around $90 on ebay. Anything close is $700. |

He already helps people. He has helped me more than once and some things I still do today. Flushing is a good example. I used to flush my plants but never more than 2 or 3 days for flush while growing or final flush and I always used GH Flora Kleen. Now I flush about 3 weeks before harvest for a few dyas, let her have another week of mild nutes and then flush with distilled water for about a week. That is if patience is being on my side. This does make a huge difference.
Thanks again earl.
