first grow in new flower room.

so i've collected a few plants from some friends of mine, and just started them under 12/12 one week ago. the room is 45" by 4' by 6' high. 1000w HPS, and a can-fan rated at 440cfm for exhaust, hooked up to a carbon air scrubber. with holes cut in the floor and lined with carbon filter for passive intake.

the first set of pictures is my main plant:

here is when i first got it, about january 16th or 17th. he said it was MVTF, but i thought that strain was dead? either way it grows super fast in coco using the lucas formula with a little bit of cal-mag for nutrients, watered twice a day. and for ease of labeling i'm just going to call it MVTF.



then about 6 days later, i had to tie her down.





then another 5 days later i had to tie her down again, i put her in 12/12 that day too.




then these pictures are one week after the last one, so she's been in 12/12 for one week now.






only the MVTF is in coco using the lucas formula with added cal-mag. the other plants are in fox farm ocean forest using pure blend pro also with added cal-mag, watered when soil is all dried out.


and here is another littler plant, its supposed to be some kind of skunk. it's a little droopy cause i waited just a tad bit too long to water.




there are a couple more plants in there but i dont have good pictures of them right now, and i have no idea what they are.






i guess i'll update new pictures every week. let me know what you guys think.

haha thanks man, yeah i don't have enough money to get a cooled hood for the 1000w so its my make shift way of trying to keep it cool. it's been working so far, but im having a hard time keeping the room warm at night time, it has dropped to 52 a couple times . the fan doesn't run at night though.
any ideas on ways to keep it a little warmer at night?

haha i know it was gettin big FAST, i had to tie her down a lot. otherwise it would have over taken everything haha, it already takes up half of the room by its self. i will be sure to update weekly for sure.

thanks man, yeah i hoping it has huge buds, but since i'm not 100% positive on the strain i can't really predict what kinda bud formation i'm gonna get.

hey hey guys, so i have to update a little early because the skunk plant that my buddy gave me turned out to be super skunk, and it already has some nice bud production happening.






and this no name plant has some pretty long hairs starting to emerge



so i was happy and just thought i would share that with you guys/gals.

Looks like that exhaust ducting is blocking some of the light from getting to the plant on the right. If it is an enclosed area, you'd be fine with just a dayton blower( http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc....AEF140C&eq=&Tp) inside the box blowing out the top.

Going by an eye-d out estimate of your dimensions, the blower I have linked for you will cycle all the air out of that box 3X/minute, not to mention provide a nice breezy atmosphere for your plants.

i dont know if you read my post, but i have a 440cfm can fan hooked up to that ducting. and no its not blocking any light from any of the plants. thanks for the input though

but i am looking for a new fan because that can fan is kind of loud. any one have some suggestions on somewhat quite fans?

and does any one else grow in their basement? and if so how are you keeping your rooms temp's up at night?

so the plants have grown quite a bit and all of them have started flowering, so im gonna say flowering started feb. 8th.
ill have new pictures of the ladies tomorrow. but i just wanted to share my two other grow rooms with you guys. the first one is what i call the transition room, it's for freshly rooted clones, it only has 69 watts, and 6000 lumens. then they move on up into the next room with a 250w MH for a while, then they go to the flowering room pictured before.
