hey thanks august. yeah it does get pretty boring growing the same thing over and over again.

what strains are you trying next?

so as you fellow growers/smokers can tell these buds i harvested were not dense nuggets, but instead pretty fluffy. so i went to my closet to check them tonight, and they were pretty damn dry, so i cut them into little buds weighed them out and put them into jars, with a few sugar leaves to maybe get a little bit of moisture back into them.

and to my surprise that first little harvest turned out to be 2.2 ounces completely dried. and there's still a quite a bit left on the plant, so i guess i'm getting a pretty decent yield out of this. could have been more yes, but still won't be horrible.

so heres the first harvest

just google search each strain & see what comes up, some breeders give growing instructions , others just tell you shit like thc%, yield per square meter...
So far the biggest yielder I have is the WhiteRhino, but Ive recently aquired some "Mormon", which is supposed to super-productive according to the website, we'll soon see, I just transplanted the clones yesterday, and will be starting flowering in about 3 days...

I loved your idea with the strings, i was contemplating LST'ing my plant but i was concerned that the yield would be harmed purely coz u can only grow it until its all the way around the edge of the pot.

Does your method produce nice juicy colas on all of the stems like LST would?

It's my first grow and my little master kush seedling is about 2 weeks old, but its on a proper mission, sprouting new leaves every other day.

Maybe master kush should be one for you to try, i wouldn't know yet myself because obviously this is my first grow, but i have read seriously amazing things about it AND its medical marijuana so its right up your street. But i think rumpleforeskin had a grow journal of a master kush plant so you should check it out one day (as if you aren't already swamped in strains)

Once my seedling gets a few nodes going on i'm gonna start a journal so i'll let you know and you can hook me up with some advice.

yes, to your question about the colas. it did produce a lot of tops and nice ones too, but this strain did not fill out like a lot of other strains i have grown.

and LST isn't restricted to growing the plant just around the outside of the container, just have something bigger around than the container place it under it, and just tie the plant down to it, well not all the way down but you know what i mean.

anyways, yeah let me know when you get a journal going, and ill help as much as i can.

That looks like an amazing smoke. Enjoy.

As for not being all that dense... meh, I can see the crystal on them, and I'm gonna guess that they get you ripped like a mofo (smoke report?).

I haven't been able to get really tight buds either. Hopefully this next grow will be better though.

btw... the first bud, and the buds in the jars don't look fluffy at all. What does one of the buds weigh if you don't mind me asking.

the first one weighed in at 1.48. i have yet to smoke any of it yet, so no smoke report. i like to let it cure in the jars for at least 2 weeks before i try it out. oh wait i may have smoked a nug of it a little while before this harvest but i dont remember how it was, too high to remember.

yeah i have a lot of strains vegging and cuttings that are rooting, so my next journal will start in a little while, when some get closer to the flowering stage.

That was already what i had considered for LST'ing, but the cupboard i'm growing in isn't very deep so i can't have anything bigger than 12' across really so my only option would have been to grow it around the pot.

My mum has let me grow under the condition i only grow one plant so i'm looking to get an awesome yield (as awesome as i can get in my setup) and i was thinking with your method i could leave the plant growing for another month before i started the budding. Is there any advice you could give for when it comes to tieing them down? i wouldnt want to break my stalks but i would want to get the right spread to produce some lovely tops and make sure it's all not too far from the light.

i wish i wish i could smoke your bud. I'm having to wait a few months until mine is ready and that'll probably be the first half decent bud from this neck of the woods for a long time.
