dude this is such an excellent grow. I like all the different mediums and the comparisons.
I'm really interested in thos coco/perlite mix you have going. Do you use a nute solution every watering? When you say you water them once a day is this because it totally dries out or does this stuff hold water fairly well? Have you noticed any difference between this and the soil yet? again.. awsome job thanx for sharing dude!

just keep glued to any thread that has my name on it because ill be doing tons of experiments with the white widow clones
the coco/perlite probably wont dry out for days....... ive just read that it acts like hydro and u cant really overwater the medium because any extra just runs out i take the hydro water form my 25% and 50% nute strength and reuse that.....i change the units once a week so the ph doesnt change much and its not overly concentrated the promix seems to build up too much for my well water so the coco/perlite seemed like a great idea im keeping measurements for the 4 plants with two hydro and 2 coconut ill be updating tommorrow for sure since im opening up the second 600hps and sending 4 plants into the cold of the ohio greenhouse...... |

good info man thanx.
So you would keep the PH of this mix closer to that of a hydro grow rather than soil?

exactly..ive done some research on the coco/perlite mix before trying it so i knew it might work for me
the 6.2 ph i use on my hydro is perfect for the coco and the better thing was that coco has a history of being able to absorb more salts without harming the plants and with my well water about .7 ec without adding any ferts i need something that can do that. the hydro seems to be fine without many issues but both dirt and promix dont seem to be as good im doing major work today and plan on having tons of updates and pics by midnight eastern time. the weather in ohio is horrible so the greenhouse grow might die before its time lol just putting 4 plants in there that i dont really care about so no big deal i counted my plants yesterday and i have a total of 70 plants in veg state from just cloned to 24 inches ready for the 12/12 so im well on my way i have 3 mothers in one waterfarm dwc hydro unit with 25% nutes and a little shot of clonex solution and have been able to take 12 clones a week without hurting the mothers ....not bad |

ok u need to understand that i dont really have a life....lol........
and the fucked up thing is that since my exgirlfriend moved out last may my electric bills even with all the lights i run is the same or less than when she lived here.......and i have an all electric house so i get a super rate 5.1 per kwh which is like less than half what california pays... im planning on 25 adults in my indoor grow rooms and 24 outside in the greenhouse.....but with a perpetual grow i need to make 12 clones a week and then maybe 10 of those are really good......im doing 20 to 25 every 10 weeks so i need to mass produce so i never run out of adult clones u catch my hash? not a huge quantity but it looks good....my buddy will try it tomm night and ill be letting everyone know how it came out.....laterz btw i always spent alot on growing its just not all veggies now although i do have 10 tomato plants growing next to my clones which will be going in the greenhouse probably april 1st if all goes well with the weather below is my hash url http://forum.grasscity.com/recreatio...check-out.html |
