we'll hafta think about that next sober moment I get but I do kinda wonder IF it can be done followed by: even if it can be, is it a good idea?

prolly not....

anyways the machine stabilized at
ppm 1350
ph 5.2
temp 23C

and is back to fully topped off and then some

I might move some of the clones around before they grab onto too much lavarock, there's roots EVERYWHERE in the little bin!

smoove: you're cracking me here because of how right you are...the getting in and out the car thing...lol

IM: I know that with the Lucas formula you can use the same res for up to at least 3 rounds I believe...read that on the Lucas thread

Good luck. How's that smokin, btw?

I think its possible for sure, read that in the lucas thread as well - but to reduce the variables Id switch it out after harvest. Unless its a huge hassle for u.

I think theyll like a fresh res

I suppose it would not be THAT big of a deal to flush it out after this last round, it'll be a LOT easier than moving the rig was!

I need to do some housekeeping in the flower room too like my light is not hung properly, the deck of the root zone and res needs to be wrapped in mylar to reflect radiant heat, need to redo the mylar on the walls (too low now that the machine is holding the plants) need a carbon scrubber, stuff like that

and there is also the fact that THIS machine was not designed to be the big one for flower, it's the small one for veg

numbers for today:
ppm is a whopping 1480
ph is 5.6
temp is 21C

Moved all the white widow clones outta there little cloning bin and put them into individual baskets with lavarock and HT

For this round I tried RW, PP, and nuthin and they ALL rooted (well, there is one last really big cut that may not have roots yet) it's the slowest of the bunch and the other one from the pair did root, so it just needs a bit more time.

8/9 are well rooted and I really only need 4-5
(3 for the machine and 2 for moms into dirt)

here's a nice wood shot for doob3r! No limp hydro here!!

It aint a massive stem but it only vegged for 4 weeks

1480 ppm is a bit too hot

added back a few gallons of 100 ppm ph 5.2 water to the IMgreen machine to bring it back to 1250 ish

this brought me way over the overflow limit but whatta ya gonna do?

I should have got a check valve by now.

thanks man!

I feel pretty good about my growing skills these days!

I tried big clones, medium clones, little clones, rw, peat pellets and nuthin as a medium (they ALL rooted)

the dome and the cuts were the only constant - I did not scrape anything at the end of the cut - juts a 45 with a very small slice about 1/8 up the stem from the cut and removed 2 node branches

Trying to keep it as simple as possible

The lavarock is in mix just cuz I like growing in it, the plants seem to hold on to it much better than HT alone (the plants stand better in it younger then they do in HT alone and I don't like having to prop plants up at the base)

I don't think it is DOING anything beyond that

the genetics just happen to be super vigorous and this gardener only had to keep them alive long enough for them to root

HGS is the real deal IMO I am just along for the ride and NOT fucking them up too bad

todays numbers:
ppm = 1220
ph = 6.1

lowered the ph a bit and will leave nutes at this lower level for a couple days cuz I have been running them really high for the past few

Cool man, thanks for the LavaRock info too

HGS seems pretty legit man, the Purple Cindy looks bomb too!!

U sure u wanna go that low on the nutes?? Not saying not to but I just know Lucas says when u start dropping too low thats when u get deficiencies. Im learning this dro thing to tho as u know so dont take my advice lol. If that Ec is dropping that much tho maybe theyre eating a bunch??

Looking good man bringem on home!

yeah I dont wanna mess with ppm again until the ph stops swinging

The system is really over full and I know it will lose a couple gallons over the next two days and the ppm will rise on it's own

ph has been ranging between 5.2 - 6.2 for like 48 hours and that aint normal, ph usually stabilizes out in 24 hours and it isn't (it keeps rising a bit too fast) and the ppms got just a bit too high

that's whay I over filled the machine, to dilute it down and get stable ph then will see what's what

In the design I have about 15 gallons of leeway, 30 is "full" but the system CAN hold about 45 but this would greatly reduce the height of the waterfall that aerates the system

figured it would be good to be able to ALWAYS add more water - no matter what - just in case

early WW smoke report 45 days 12/12

sry for the lack of a pic, I took it outta the box looked at it and ground it up without thinking about you guys

it's just a tiny dried bud (two days for it to become crispy - I dry harvests slower)

first thing I noticed was that the bud looks like really good pot! nice light green color with a decent amount of orange hair!

Not a very potent smoke yet, but it is def smooth and works a little bit

I would say right now it's better than anything I have grown smokeability wise (taste, smoothness) and it's almost as strong as what I have been smoking since I started growing!

that aint bad for halfway through flowering but there is really no reason to cut it THIS young.

next try will be 45 days of flower samples, that's in about a week

by=tw given that it took me 20 minutes to write THAT maybe this is a bit stronger than what I have been smoking. Usually 2-3 small bowls and this was only one...

let me go smoke a bit more and give it a fair try!
