that makes perfect sense!

though I wonder if that translates down to seedlings...

for showing sex, I totally buy it!

males would have to mature faster to produce viable pollen right?

If viable means in time to pollinate females that need another 4 weeks to produce seed then yes!
Let me put it this way : the life cycle of the males can end 4 weeks before the life cycle of the females ends.

seeds take 4 weeks to form?

that's pretty fast and must be robbin my females of THC producing energy!

My latest chop only has a few seeds, but no seeds at all has not happened yet...

this time I will fare better!

when the last few down there now finish, I gotta really clean it up well before the current crop goes down to flower

that might help

so far so good!

They aint drinking much water yet but the ppm drops and the ph rises so I added a shot glass of nutes that brought the ph right back to 5.5 and the ppm to 730

I don't think I can go any higher than that under cfl and if I was using RO I would shoot for 5-600 ppm for veg as a max, 9-1100 for flowering under hps

I was going to mark my float today so I powered it all down so the root zone would drain into the res and it is still totally full since I topped it off last week

aside from that very early damage everything else looks nice!

The WW has those rubberbands, the wr doesnt and I do move them around once in a while AND I put up an emergency blanket for mylar!

too bad I dont have a reflector for the CFL yet, but in due time

lookin nice man! So you go from seed/clone all the way to harvest in the rubbermaid? That's pretty sweet.

I dunno yet... we'll see! never grew in hydro before but I did get from seed to little plants OK!

I have no idea if the root mass will fit through the holes for the baskets in a couple weeks so I can move them from this system into another one for flower...

If I can't get the baskets out, I'll move the root zone and hook it up to a res in the flower room

Those plants look real healthy. Nice job. You got seeds in some of your plants???

Oh and what went wrong with the ice making hash deal? You wouldn't do it again?

babies sure are cute aint they?

It was way too much work with the ice method, least I thought so... Kinda turned me off to making it again
(tried when I first started growing, not since)

the iso method seems way less labor intensive

Flash back to a couple of pages ago. Dugout's rule!! I have a great idea.

You know the hole for the bat? Well you make a smaller diameter hole with a little spring in it to put your poker. I use a small screw driver.

What do you think?
Ever get the stuff sooo hard you can't scrap it with the bat? Instant poker with your bat.

Some times I amaze myself.

I just bought a huge dugout. Really oversized. I love it. Even the bat hole diameter is larger and I can clean it with anything.

You could get some very nice weight out of that rubbermade when you use it a few times. Nice

Hey, if you guys are talking about needing a poker with your dugout then... I just bought a dugout from the local headshop, its got a pistol grip, they come in any size, comes with a a poker that has a magnetic lock where you stick it in (you can barely see the poker when its put away), and come in any wood color and has a magnet that keeps the lid closed. Its very nice quality, ha, sorry for the long description.
