Wow thanks IMGreen! ![]() But it's more well unattended then well attended really! Once a week, maybe twice if I'm itching, is all that it takes. I throw in the water and use a few bent copperwire sticks to LST in the ground and voila. 10 minutes work max. then I leave it alone for a week. (but I do check everyday to adjust the height of the lights daily) Big containers that's the trick! A bitch to fill but it still saving me time every week.

| Abyssal frequent flyer | 74 days ago I stuck the seeds in the soil.... and look at where I'm now! : No more fluros! Yes, you guessed it I've made the switch to the HPS and thus 12/12. I did give the plants 24 hours of darkness to speed things up a bit. If you look at the pictures I post today, you can see the plants droop a bit. This is because I didn't water them for 9 days, I prefer underwatering to overwatering these days. Ofcourse I watered them today, but no nutes still! No more of that pre-emptive pro-active nuting bullshit, but simply wait until the plant shows its time. Works better for me and my generous hands. ![]() I think the plants are big enough now to give me a decent amount of seeds to play with so there's no point in letting them grow any bigger. Here, look at those boys and girls getting steamy :They'd be having babies soon! ![]() And I'd be making photos!

lookin good! I too suffer from the heavy hand of nutes affliction, you should see the current round of damage I did last weekend due to 4 days of no attention... Your grow looks great! |

Yeah overnuting can suck ass badly. Speaking of which I've just nuted my plants for the first time today. And it's been 79 days since I stuck the seeds on the soil. If you look at the pictures in this post you'll see why. It's always the same shit when switching from fluros to HPS during a grow. Growth rate goes through the roof, and suddenly the root system cannot keep up with demand for nutes because the concentration of nutes is too low for that speed. So I've nuted 1/2 stength for starters, they'll get more in a few days when the soil has dried up a bit. I'm thinking I'm adding a bit of epsom salt during that next watering, the new growth is too yellow. Here look, that white thing on top of the plants are green smoking joint papers, 4 1/4 inch wide and appearantly alot more reflective then the plants. This makes sense, the plant actively absorbs light! : And look at the big cohones on this guy, blowing his wad all over the place :Next update in a few days. I'm dying to make some pics of seeds growing. p.s. : What the hell is wrong the the GC picture gallery these days? It says my pics are DOWNsized to 1280x960 but when I click on the pic best I get is like 640x480.

93 days have passed since I stuck the seeds in the soil. 19 days ago I switched to 12/12. I'm up to 3/4 strength nutes these days (MG WS 15-30-15) Gave 'em some Epsom Salt last week and they are booming under the HPS. Makes me wonder if vegging under HPS would pay off. Check out my plants, left container M+F, middle container M+F, right container F. Let's make babies: The boys are doing there thing, using nature's default modus operandus (messy) ![]() Enough pollen to pollinate the rest of the city I think so I hope you're not living anywhere near me :Girlies are receptive, with the one big girlie upwind : Seeing all this sex going on in front of my eyes, makes me wonder : -At what point in time do the boys become useless? I mean after a certain amount of time the boys have done their thing and the girlies are pollinated all over.Once the girls are pregnant, I want to axe the boys and give the girlies all the space and other resources they can take. Anyone here with some thoughts on this?

man those look great!! i think you have vegging under flouros down man.. i wouldn't change a thing with that at all. i'd definately axe the boys after the girls pollinate.. more space and co2 for the girls. beautiful plants man +rep |
| it's winter hydro time! |
yeah what AW said, once they pop they are done and should be put to sleep it doesn't take much pollen at all to create 100's of seeds |
| Abyssal frequent flyer | OMFG I'm totally screwed now.![]() One of the males has decided to produce a single hermie branch. That's right, one male with multiple branches where only a single branch goes hermie. And I've got pollen all over the place. The other male and 3 females are all OK. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Way to go on a seed run!

Thanks for joining the party IMGreen, Augustwest and Budslinger. I haven't been on GC nearly as often as I'd like, but the work, kids and wifey all require their fair share of time. I'll try to cut back on my 6 hours of sleep per day.... ![]() 98 days have passed since I stuck the seeds in the soil. 24 days ago I switched to 12/12. Last view of the males (i mean hermie bastard and male) :Look at all that ventilation space I suddenly have, now the males are axed 3 females remain: Check this out, what do you think? How's that for aiming? Is she pregnant? : I've learned two important things from this grow : 1. Males mature earlier and die first. 2. A female and a male in a single container is actually a good thing. The male being bigger will drop it's load right on top of the female.

So I have good hopes. Since I live in a swamp and those flowers seem to gasping for fresh air, I decided to rip off all the big fan leaves and create some space for some airflow. Here look what I did yesterday, on day 100, day 26 of 12/12 : This will ensure optimum airflow levels and get the 'sun' to shine on those buds. What do you think? Did I overdo it? :
