Hanky Danky's First Indoor Grow.

Ok, so I decided to go ahead and throw up a grow journal to let you guys know about my first indoor grow. I am using A 70 watt HPS, four 13watt and two 27w CFL Daylights and for two Durban Poison Plants. Was going to upgrade to a 400 watt MH/HPS system but moving in a couple months and just figure it will be easier to set up my nice grow set up there and save the money right now. I am using Pure Blend Pro veg, Liquid Karma and Pure Blend Pro Bloom for flowering (soon). I have just gone through my first transplant into 5 gal. home dept buckets with fox Farms Ocean forest Soil. I am a month in to my grow tomm. Wed 12/12/07. Here is what I have so far.

Yeah i had a nute prob. after I transplanted them but I got it under control now. Think I just put to much nutes in for that one watering.

So my light fell over and got to close to one of my plants and burned a little bit of the new growth and one of the first fan leaves. So I was thinking about topping the plant anyways so I just went ahead and did it since the top got burned.. Its sad that I have to cut up my baby, but I think it was necessary.. Pictures coming later, dont have my camera on me.

Ok, so day 33 and the plants are starting to fill out a little bit more. Looks like they like there extra large containers to spread the root out more.

. Like I said I did have a prob w/ the light getting to close to one of them so I had to top it and cut a leaf off.

. It looks kinda retarded now but she has had alot of new growth in the last three days! Been watering every 3-4 days w/ diluted Pure Blend pro and Liquid Karma as well. The plants seem to really like that stuff. Had some Nutrient burn a couple weeks ago but I got it under control w/ one watering w/o nutrients. I am still torn between getting another light at the moment. If anything I have decided to go for a 600 watt light w/ MH and HPS ballast b/c of future growing plans to have a good size crop. But I need to save right now to move to Colorado in a few months so think I am just going to wait until I get up there, or get it right before I leave. Was thinking about lst but have enough vertical room to just grow them straight up. Keep them like 2-3 feet prob.

dood dont put a HID light on the side of a setup like fluros.
it would help more putting it above and its way to close.
is it hot around the bulb??
because if it is then its not good at all for your green.

Naw, not hot around the bulb at all b/c its only 70 watts.. I have reflectors that go above the lights but you just cant see them in the pictures.. had everything moved outta the way to take em.

Made a Carbon Filter today b/c the plants were smellin quite a bit. Actually works really well.
Used a 6" inline duct fan.
6" to 4" reducer.
Two 4 1/2" worm Clamps
Duct Tape
Zip Ties
Mesh screen
And a Carbon Air filter.

Ok, so four more days since the last post and these bitchs are starting to fill out! They are just so sexy chillin there lookin all pretty like.. haha. I did have a problem about 2 days ago... woke up and the power was out!! Ahhh!! The damn city is working on our road and cut the power.. w/ no notice... Jack ass's.. So I relocated them to my sisters house a couple blocks away and by the time I got back home the power was on... aint that a bitch. Didnt wanna put them outside for fear or little critters getting them. But all is good again. Prob will start flowering in a couple weeks or so.

So just put the plants into a 12/12 cycle from the 24/0 tonight. Going to sex these babys and hopfully they will be females!!

Actually, they are in a 36 hour dark period right now and will start the 12/12 cycle at 9am tomm.
