First personal indoor grow

Hey thanks man!!! I thought they were looking pretty good myself. Just hard to imagine them getting that much bigger in the next 6 or so weeks. Like i said ive been around grows for years and years. But its just friends grows. Ill go to thier house and see some little plants, go back a few weeks later and they are bigger, and go back maybe a month or so later and smoke it. Ive never watched a grow this intense and closely as i am mine But yeah dude, my light is actually 20in from the tops and those T-5s on the walls are for extra light and spectrum. I cant exactly get the plants too close cause that would mean moving them towards the sides which would be away from the main light. But actually my hps might be a little closer than 20in cause that was measured thrusday or friday so they have probably grown a good 3in by now. So ill measure that again tomorrow. These things are coming along nicely and seem to really take off right after i water them (duh). Ill be watering them today so ill see if i can get some pics of them outside in natural light so they arent orange. Tell me what you guys think? I really hope they look about right for starting their 3rd week of flowering today, 5th week of 12/12. Thanks for all the advice guys and gals. Heres some more pics. I took a ton but since there was all that sunlight coming in behind the plants the pics were way dark even though i set the camera for background light. Anyhoo, this is what i was left with. Whatcha think? Please tell me these are going to fill in! heheh, j/k i know they are but i want it to happen now, lmao. But actually i love the wait. Its part of it huh? It makes the bud that much sweeter. But really, comments, tips, advice are welcome!

Pray for sunshine, and take em outside whenever you can.
As long you don't temperature shock them.
If it gets cooler than 65º, I woud keep them indoors.

Take the reflector off of the lamp, and hang the light strait up-n-down, then circle the plants around that big ole bare 1000w bulb.

Hey thanks man. They are only outside cause we just watered them. And a bulb is only as good as its reflector. I wont be hanging it vertically any time soon :P If i had a few and a bigger space to arrange the plants correctly i might, but with only one light like that hanging it vertically is a huge huge waste. I think lights are like 40% more effective when hung horizontal with a good hood. BUT, like i said, if i had a few that i could hang in a row and arrange the plants around them that would be a different story. Thanks for all the advice and compliments dude, keep them coming!! Hey, check this out. This is a plant I took out of my main grow when they were only like 3 weeks old. Like i said we had more than one per pot and we removed some as we went...anyways, this is one of them. i brought it home and put it in the box my 32" flat screen came in. I didnt know it would work this well. I did a little LST as you can see and look at all those buds. All those branchs growing straight up is a beautiful thing. I love adjusting the branchs as they grow, it gets you more involved with the process. This one is about 4weeks into 12/12. What do you think about this little plant? If i had to guess i would say its about 2ft tall... Notice in the last shot thats a pic of the inside of the box. The lights are on a board that sets above the plant. Its just set on its side so i could take the plant out. That stuff in the box is one of those emergency blankets. Some people will argue about how effective it is but i can guarantee its more reflective that cardboard and it was only $3.

That's what I use.
Space blankets on ebay are really cheap, and cover a big area.
I think they are easier to work with, than the big old roll of mylar I originally bought. You can cut them with scissors before you unfold it and make nice small pieces to work with.

I also buy the spray on contact cement at walmart, and then use that to stick the mylar to the sides of my tubs, so it reflects the light away from my hydro solution. Keeps algea from forming.

It is amazing what those cfls can grow, and the budz will be stickier than "HID light" grown budz.

I have seen some guys growing awesome plants with cfls in very small spaces.
They have more patience than I.

yeah ive been working with the one you see here for almost 6 weeks. I just barely bend every so often. It looks so kick ass in person. But i can see how this tech. could produce a shit ton on a big plant. I will definently be doing this on my next grow on a bigger scale. This plant had to be kept this small cause its in a tv box Stealthy as a mother..!

Thanks dude, these things hit thier second growth spurt over the past few days. Ill try to get some pics of them monday when we take them out to flush them. The run off is a tad high so we gotta flush those suckers out. 12 5gal pots....thats alot of flushing Oh well, only the best for my ladies. Im ready to get these things done and out of the way so i can get my Durban Poison, Jock Horror, and Silver Pearl in there. Thats when things really start happening, you wont want to miss this Hahha, jk, but really its gonna kick nuts.

Well i meant to get some pics today while i had them out to water. They are coming alon sooo nicely. Today i switched from Beastie Bloomz to Chaching. Im thinking they have around 5-6 weeks left. Also, i started adding sugar to the water at about 1teaspoon per liter. Ill try to get some pics tomorrow or the next day. As bad as it sounds im SOOOO ready to get this grow over so i can actually start the "real" grow of durban poison, silver pearl, and jock horror. Thats when the fun starts. These were just an experimental kinda thing. Did different types of training like lst, topping, fimming and figured out i like a combo of lst and topping. But i think i might try a little scrog next time. Also, watered with different nutes and different levels on different plants to see what worked best. And the biggest thing ill do different is 1 per pot next time. This was an experiment and it worked very very well. If i wanted to grow some in a small space i would do more than one per pot for sure. But since i have a decent amount of room im gonna do just 1 per pot so they will grow bigger.

Here are just a few shots of the one plant i got growing in my closet. I have it under 2 23w 2700k, 2 42w 2700k, and 2 26w 6500k inside the box my 32" flat screen came in. This plant is one that was taken from my real grow (this thread) when it was like 3 weeks old cause we were getting rid of ones we didnt like so much. Look at it now...its like an orphan that grows up to be a millionaire
