I may just feel jinxed but it looks like she may be a he. i am 9 days into 12/12, there are no pistols and it looks like it's growing balls! If this plant is a dude I'm going to the nearest voodoo doctor to get this curse removed.

So are these balls or not?

Strange, I got the same seeds a while back yet they were all female.

Those are some strange looking balls they may still throw a pistal give it another 4 days or so and you also run the possiablity of it being a hermie so wait it out and give it some time i hope its a female cuz that is one beatiful plant dude! well best of luck!

Hey man, long time no see. I'm on board with you. I'm still not convinced that it's a boy; or even a hermi. What looked like balls the day before yesterday are now new branches forming out of the existing node. I still see no sure sign of sex either way. It's grow at a faster rate in the past 10 days thanany of the previous 5 weeks. I've got my money on it being a girl. Vtech got 10/10 and I bet I will too. It's just hard not to be paranoid at this point in the grow. Especially when you have all of your eggs in one basket.

I topped off the res with straight water today. The EC is 1.6 and pH is 5.57. I won't add any more veg nutes because she's doing fine now. I'll just keep my eye out for Phosphorus def and add flowering nutes as needed. If need be, I'll siphon of 5 gallons at a time if they start showing signs of Nitrogen or Potassium burn. I've got another rubbermaid full of fresh water outside the grow room for easy access.

I don't think it's quite Day 1 of flowering but we're close. Dutch Passion claims an eight week flowering period. If that's right I should be harvesting in mid to late March. Spring will be great with a nice Sativa smoke.


I've got a vacation coming up in about 1 month and I'll be gone for over a week. I'm hoping that the plant won't be quite as thirsty as she is right now. But even if she is I still think she'll survive. There's gotta be more than 35gallons in there when the water is at the full line. After my next res change I will go 2 weeks without adding water to see how far it drops. I'm not really worried about anything else. I should have the nutrient solution just about right since it will be at a stable period in it's growth. Oh, not to mention she will stop growing vertically right around the time I leave. I'll raise the light higher anyways though, just to be safe.

Congrats! Your plant puts mine to shame, the tops are so many / level. Glad to see that she's a girl after all of that hard work.

I'm now moving the lights up 2-3" a day. This is by far the fastest the plant has grown, vertically anyway, since germination. She's not showing any sign of sickness and drinking like a horse. The water temp ranges from 70-75 and the EC is right around 1.6 with a pH of 5.6. She's filling out the whole closet! It's completely insane; I'm glad I didn't veg for another 2 weeks as I had planned.
